PLAYERS: J.R. Smith
TEAMS: New York Knicks
New York Knicks shooting guard J.R. Smith tried to join a scrimmage involving some young kids during halftime of Monday night's game at Madison Square Garden. After trying to defend an inbounds pass, Smith headed down the court with the offense and called for the ball, but the kids wouldn't give it to him. NBA broadcaster Mike Breen joked that the kids didn't pass the ball to Smith because "they know they're probably not going to get it back." Video via Oakley Allen. H/T Cosby. JR Smith Says Knicks Expect Teams To Lay Down For Them

Why in the blue hell would the Knicks of all teams think other teams would be afraid of them? They aren’t the Miami Heat, no one fear the Knicks. They don’t have the type of resume to admire their work in the mirror. They are having a good season, but they have to understand if they continue to think they are better than they are, their playoff stay will be the same as previous...

J.R. Smith Airballs FT and Crashes Kids’ Scrimmage Game (VIDEO)

Last night the New York Knicks hosted the Detroit Pistons, winning the game 99-85. The interesting moment of the game came from Smith, however. Leave it to Smith to make a boring game interesting. He kept the crowd and his team entertained after shooting an air ball during a free throw attempt. Then Smith tried to crash  a scrimmage game against some kids during halftime. You just...

JR Smith airballed a free throw, and the Knicks bench loved it (Video)

JR Smith’s shooting is generally considered to be a strength in his game, but it was the source of embarrassment on Monday. Smith shot 5-for-15 from the field and went 1-of-2 at the free throw line in the New York Knicks’ 99-85 win over the Detroit Pistons. A career 74.5 percent shooter from the line, Smith had 16 points which is right on his season average, but he airballed...

JR Smith’s Airball and Mike Woodson’s Reaction—Priceless!

JR Smith is like that little brother you want to choke occasionally. His whimsical antics at MSG  not only entertain the garden faithful–but moreover, drive Coach Woodson nuts. Last night you can add JR’s “Air-Ball” next to his dunks, game winning Salsa Steps, and his inexcusable fouls on 3pt shots to his expanding list of 2012/13 moments. The funniest part of the video...

Coyotes goalie gets haircut, now has a mullet

Prior to this week, Phoenix Coyotes goalie Mike Smith had been growing out his hair for a very long time. As you can see from the photo above on the left, he had one of the raddest hairstyles in the NHL for all of last season and into this year. Many fans will be disappointed to hear that Smith recently cut his hair — until they see his new haircut. The photo above on the right...

Smith Jr. Helps Bucks Survive Off Night In Lincoln

Nebraska is just 11-12 and 2-8 in the Big Ten conference this season. Still, if there’s one sentence that I’ve said in about every article since New Year’s, it’s that “winning on the road in the Big Ten isn’t easy”. The Buckeyes nearly fell into that trap with cold shooting and a lazy closeout as the Huskers got as close as five with just under three minutes remaining...
