In case Jrue Holiday was somewhere other than the planet earth last year, THE SIXERS did not win a championship. They certainly had a great finish to a mediocre season and we all enjoyed the ride and with that I say THANKS! Now, it is time to build for the future and that future does not include a MAX contract extension for you Jrue. It is all about the stats and his do not warrant MAX money. What does he deserve? Money that equals what he currently is. Last season, Holiday averaged 14.4 points per game and 5 assists. These decent numbers rank him 25th among NBA guards. Do we need to see or say anymore?

The expected departure of Lou Williams puts Jrue at the top in scoring on a team that can’t score. So don’t expect big money coming from the front office anytime soon. The Sixers have plenty of needs to be addressed and this is not one of them. It’s great that Holiday believes he is worth big money that could be a sign of confidence (not greed we are thinking positive). He can take that confidence into next season with a modest raise and then prove to everyone he is worth a MAX DEAL.
