There was a time where Allen Iverson was once considered one of the best players in the NBA and a fan favorite off the court. Lately though, Iverson has had a hard fall from grace and it reportedly just got even worse.
Iverson is newly divorced from his ex-wife Tawanna Iverson. While the two are happy about the split, Tawanna also happens to be the mother of Iverson’s 5 children. Something that will require the two to still remain in contact. In the final divorce decree, the Judge had this to say regarding Iverson’s parenting skills.
Per TMZ: [Iverson] does not know how to manage the children; has little interest in learning to manage the children and has actually, at times, been a hindrance to their spiritual and emotional growth and development.
For example, he has refused to attend to an obvious and serious alcohol problem, which has caused him to do inappropriate things in the presence of the children while impaired. He has left the children alone without supervision.
He has left his young daughters in a hotel room with men who are unknown to the mother.”
The Judge also granted Tawanna legal and physical custody of the children, but Allen was granted visitation rights. As long as he follows these instructions:
Iverson can’t drink any alcohol for the next 18 months.
Until all of his kids become adults [18+], he can’t consume alcohol within 24 hours of the times he has the kids.
He’s also been ordered to see a shrink and attend AA meetings for a year.
The fall from grace just continues for Allen Iverson.

A judge who presided over Allen Iverson’s divorce ripped into the former NBA star’s parenting, stripped him of custody of his children, and ordered him to attend Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) to address his drinking problem, TMZ reports. The Atlanta judge recently signed off on Iverson’s divorce from ex-wife Tawanna, and awarded her legal and physical custody of the couple’s...

A judge has reportedly ordered Allen Iverson into an Alcoholics Anonymous program as part of his divorce settlement.
Allen Iverson is officially free of Tawanna Iverson, his now ex-wife and mother of his five kids, but not before the judge dropped the hammer on The Answer. In addition to signing off on the divorce, the Atlanta family court judge added some exceptionally harsh words in the final decree, basically calling the former NBA star a terrible father:
“[Iverson] does not know how to manage...
Allen Iverson has had his share of off-the-court issues since last playing in the NBA in 2010.
This week, his divorce with his wife, Tawanna Iverson, became final. His ex-wife has legal and physical custody over their five children and, to make matter’s worse, an Atlanta judge brought up Iverson’s many shortcomings as a father in the divorce decree.
In the decree, first...
The Mavericks excited fans by offering an invitation through their D-League to Allen Iverson just weeks ago to play for the Texas Legends, which he turned down via Twitter. It’s hard to believe AI will ever make a return to the court – especially after a judge ruled him an unfit parent with an alcohol problem, and ordered him to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings for a year...
If Allen Iverson wasn't the poster boy for everything an NBA player could do wrong off the court — he is now.
Arguably once considered the best pound-for-pound player in the league, A.I. has seen his share of financial, personal and marital troubles over the years but now a judge is calling the former NBA star a terrible father.
Iverson just officially became a single man...
