Kendrick Perkins, whom many people now know as the guy Blake Griffin destroyed on a colossal slam dunk last week, is ripping LeBron James for his reaction on Twitter following the jam.

The Oklahoma City Thunder center told Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports on Tuesday that he isn’t too happy with James, saying the Heat forward should instead be focusing on more important matters.

Specifically, James wrote: “Dunk of the Year!! @blakegriffin just dunked on Kendrick Perkins so hard!! Wow!! I guess I’m #2 now. Move over #6.” James was referencing his impressive alley-oop dunk the day before against the Bulls.

“You don’t see Kobe [Bryant] tweeting,” Perkins said. “You don’t see Michael Jordan tweeting. If you’re an elite player, plays like that don’t excite you. At the end of the day, the guys who are playing for the right reasons who are trying to win championships are not worrying about one play.

“They also are not tweeting about themselves talking about going down to No. 2. I just feel [James] is always looking for attention and he wants the world to like him.”

It appears as if Perkins is buying into that attitude by deleting his Twitter account shortly after buzz about the play took over the Internet. But evidently his teammates didn’t get the memo. According to Tweeting-Athletes.com, 12 Thunder players currently have Twitter profiles.

So maybe Perk should tell Kevin Durant he isn’t going to get anywhere tweeting Keri Hilson.
