Following the Denver Nuggets’ 108-105 victory over the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night, the Nuggets broadcast crew sought out bruising big man Kenneth Faried due to his huge role in securing the victory by way of his dominating 19-point, 19-rebound performance. Faried must have been a bit taken aback when he was informed of his impressive stat line by the reporter, because he was obviously caught off-guard, as illustrated when he drops a casual s-bomb in response. Reporter Guy: “19 and 19, did you think you were going to have a night like that?” Faried: “S—, I didn’t even know — Excuse me! I didn’t even know. I didn’t even know.” Reporter Guy: “You said shoot…” Faried: Yeah…I didn’t even know. But I’m happy we got the win.” Ha. Worse things have been uttered and heard during NBA broadcasts, especially by the mics that capture all the colorful language used by players during games, but still, when the reporter passed it back to the announcers, we were afforded this apology: “Kenneth was obviously excited and we apologize for the profanity, but when you get 19 points and 19 rebounds, it’s an ‘Oh, shoot’ moment.” Yep.
