Kevin Durant showed Kobe Bryant and the Lakers no matter what the score is the Thunder is never out of the game. Durant and Westbrook gave the Lakers plenty to deal with last night, they also handed the Lakers their second loss in this round of the NBA play-offs. Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Russel Westbrook scored 15 points had 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Westbrook was able to score when it mattered the most. The Lakers never could get the momentum to turn in their favor, when they tried Durant and Westbrook would pull off a huge play.

The Thunder would get 13 points from James Harden who has been solid throughout the play-offs for Oklahoma this year. Harden give the Thunder a weapon that comes off the bench and has the ability to change the game. The Thunder have to have the Lakers feeling the pressure now with two wins. The Lakers and the Thunder provided one heck of a good play-off game and I think game three will be more of the same.

Kobe scores 36 to lead LA in Game 3

Kobe Bryant didn't miss on 18 free throws and scored 14 of his 36 points in the fourth quarter, and the Los Angeles Lakers rallied late for a 99-96 victory over Oklahoma City in Game 3 on Friday night, cutting the Thunder's second-round series lead to 2-1. Metta World Peace swiped the ball from Kevin Durant and hit two free throws with 12.9 seconds left for the third-seeded...

Lakers cave late, fall into 0-2 hole vs. Thunder

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Kevin Durant scored 22 points and rattled in the go-ahead basket on a baseline runner with 18 seconds left, and the Oklahoma City Thunder scored the final nine points to rally for a 77-75 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals Wednesday night. Oklahoma City trailed by seven with 2 minutes left before surging back...

Video: Lakers Down 0-2 to Thunder

With two minutes left in the game and the L.A. Lakers up by 7, it looked like Kobe Bryant and the Lakers would be able to bounce back for the Game 2 victory after getting dominated by the Oklahoma City Thunder 119-90 in Game 1. Kevin Durant and the Thunder had a different plan in mind. The Thunder went on a 9-0 run in the last two minutes, thanks to two forced turnovers by Durant...

VIDEO: Kobe Bryant says the Lakers can’t guard the Thunder

When Kobe Bryant was asked whether or not the Lakers’ players could guard the Thunder players during a press conference after LA’s game one loss in the second round of the western conference playoffs, Kobe responded by simply saying “no”. Kobe seems to be sarcastic or even a bit insulted by the question, but the proof is in the box score. The Lakers got blown out by the...

OKC depth important weapon against Lakers

The stars are going to be stars in the Thunder-Lakers series. Oklahoma City fields All-Stars in Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, while Los Angeles suits up Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum. The difference in the Western Conference semifinals could end up being the ancillary pieces. The rotation for Thunder coach Scott Brooks is legitimately 10 deep and he doesn't mind...

A Collection of Awesome Michael Jordan vs. Kobe Bryant Highlights

Michael Jordan has said it himself; only Kobe Bryant deserves comparisons to His Airness. And who are we to disagree? If you follow this blog you know that we shine the hell out of Michael Jordan the basketball player, and deservedly so. MJ is not only the best play who ever lived, he may be the best athlete that was ever created. It’s that serious over here. With that said, Kobe...

Kobe Bryant, Mike Brown on Lakers' Game 3 victory

Watch as Kobe Bryant and Mike Brown talk about the Lakers' Game 3 victory.

Kobe reaches out to LeBron to see what else he can do to get Mike Brown fired

Running out of ideas and time, Kobe Bryant has reached out to fellow superstar LeBron James to solicit James’ opinion on other ways Bryant can get Lakers coach Mike Brown fired. Bryant has already been benched, pouted, played selfishly, openly questioned teammates and choke in the waning moments of big games, all of which are techniques James used to successfully get Mike Brown...

Kobe Bryant: I don't take charges

Lakers star Kobe Bryant says he doesn't take charges, and he's got a reason for it.

Kobe won't take charges

Sacrificing your body to take a charge is one of the great momentum builders in basketball. Absorbing the hit from an opposing player coming at you like a freight train takes its toll on the body, but for a lot of players the turnover is worth the sacrifice. Not for Los Angeles Laker Kobe Bryant. To paraphrase Meatloaf, Kobe would do anything for his team, but he won’t do that...

NBA superfan Jimmy Goldstein says Kobe Bryant told Pau Gasol not to talk to him

If you’ve ever seen an NBA playoff game, chances are you’ve seen Jimmy Goldstein positioned in expensive seats somewhere near the court. And if you don’t know who Jimmy Goldstein is, he is the older fellow decorated in outlandish designer clothes — highlighted by a cowboy hat that always looks like it’s made out of one of Johnny Weir’s figure skating costumes — who...

Celtics take out anger on 76ers in Game 3

Many times after basketball games conclude, we prescribe emotions to a team or player just because of the results. When the Los Angeles Lakers came back to defeat the Boston Celtics in Game 7 two seasons ago, we described Kobe Bryant as indomitable because he rebounded a heap of misses and the Lakers prevailed. Partially, our description was true. Bryant surely wanted that game...

Thunder-Lakers Preview

If the Los Angeles Lakers can just shake the memory of the disastrous final two minutes of Game 2, they'll find plenty of reasons in the first 46 minutes to be encouraged about their chances this weekend against Oklahoma City. After blowing a seven-point lead and the chance to steal homecourt advantage from the powerful Thunder on Wednesday night, the third-seeded Lakers'...
