The Kings are staying put.
The team and the city of Sacramento have reached a tentative deal to build a new arena that would keep the Kings from leaving.
Sacramento mayor Kevin Johnson and NBA commissioner David Stern announced a joint plan last week for the sides to come to an agreement on the financing of a new arena by March 1.
Kings owners, the Maloofs, will contribute $70 million upfront to build the arena and roughly $75 million more during the length of the agreement.
The Sacramento City Council is scheduled to vote on the plan during a March 6 meeting.
