New York Sports-Kings:
The Knicks reserves were able to overcome the Hawks reserves in the last game. It’s not like these teams were fighting for any playoff spot so it’s to be expected that they both wouldn’t play their starters. The Knicks started Earl Baron and James White while the Hawks started guys like Mike Scott and John Jenkins.
Chris Copeland took full advantage of the extra playing time and was scoring pretty consistently. He finished with thirty three points (the game high) and should have secured some playing time in the playoffs. Their bench is something of strength for them and after J.R. Smith, Chris Copeland could be their best option to score. It’s good to see him playing so well lately. Another player who played extensively and actually is a starter was Iman Shumpert. He played extremely effectively and finished with eighteen points, eight assists and seven rebounds. The two of them should see a lot of time in the playoffs. Shumpert gets better in every game and Copeland has other teams wishing they had given him his shot. The newly acquired Quentin Richardson played, although it shouldn’t be expected that he’ll see extended minutes so quickly.
Carmelo Anthony has also won the scoring title with Durant not playing in the last game.
Its something of note for him and the Knicks because they haven’t had a scoring title winner since Bernard King did it for them. Also he’s only the second Knick player ever to win it. It has been an eventful last two years for the Knicks with them getting their first defensive player of the year and only their second scoring title player. But it will all become moot if the Knicks aren’t able to do anything in the playoffs.

Boston Celtics veteran Kevin Garnett has been all but certified as a master of mind-games. He could be spinning his most most masterful web of all.
Garnett has very little if any love for his rivals. He has always shown a certain level of disdain for those he considers his true peers.
Think about the classic battles of his career.
Garnett has always played the hardest when...

Rasheed Wallace had not played for the past two seasons before coming out of retirement for the Knicks.
Although, the draft is quickly approaching in the NFL, I would like to take a step back from Patriots talk to peek quickly at the Boston Celtics first round playoff matchup. This year marks a number of anomalies in the Eastern Conference, most of which surround the Knicks and Celtics.
1) The first time in recent memory that the Knicks are a higher seed going into the playoffs...
EPIX held a premiere party for the release of Amar’e Stoudemire’s new documentary ‘In The Moment’ which follows the Knicks forward “whose quest is to bring a championship to New York before he finishes his career.” Teammates Carmelo Anthony, Iman Shumpert, Tyson Chandler and more came out to show their support on the orange carpet at Marquee in NYC. Before the screening...
The Turn On The Knicks staff gives their predictions for the first round of the NBA playoffs, which tip-off this Saturday.
BUCKS VS. HEAT
Joe Caporoso - Sometimes you don’t want to over-think these things. The Heat are one of the best teams we have seen in the past decade, if not longer. The Bucks are a sub .500 team, who despite having their share of scorers, will be overmatched...
According to Peter Botte of the New York Daily News, Kevin Garnett is accepting that the Boston Celtics are the underdogs going into the first round of the NBA Playoffs against the New York Knicks. Usually one to trash talk in support of the C's, Garnett sang a different song when asked who the better team is between New York and Boston. "We are," Garnett responded...
Well here we are, the playoffs. One would be in hard-pressed to find a team that is as experienced(read: old) as the Celtics are. Boston rolling into New York to tip off the first round of the 2012-2013 playoffs on April 20th at 3 pm. The Knicks own the season series at an edge of 3 games to 1 in handily fashion. The Knicks have certainly been a team to reckon with this season...
