NYC Sports Nation:
Renewing a Knicks-Heat rivalry from the 1990s and early 2000s is a beautiful sight.
The Knicks were suppose to open the season against Nets at the $1 billion Barclays Center, but the game has been postponed to Nov. 26 due to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
Instead, they get to open the season at the Garden against the NBA Champion Miami Heat.
"We know it's a big ball game. They're the defending champs coming into our building," Camby said.
The Heat enter the season with one goal, defending their title. While the Knicks entered the season with title dreams, however, those dreams have somewhat faded with Amar'e Stoudemire getting injured.
Despite the injuries, Camby says they'll see the Heat in June. Indicating an Eastern Conference matchup for a chance at a Finals appearance.
"We both have dreams and aspirations of being there at the end, so more than likely we're going to see this team in June," Camby said of the Heat.
It should be an exciting game.

With Attention on Felton, Pablo Prigioni Could Soar For Knicks
If Jeremy Lin has a very productive year for the Rockets, he'll make it difficult for the Knicks to forget him so easily. In Houston's inaugural game of the season Wednesday night, he propelled himself to a strong start. The Harvard grad scored 12 points, dished out 8 assists, and grabbed 4 steals. Perhaps more impressively, Lin's had a team-high plus/minus of +23 (the...

The Knicks are an interesting bunch of guys, one superstar who suffers from Tracy McGradys’ syndrome and can’t get out of the first round, another star who can’t stay healthy and a bunch of players who are either old or nobody else wanted. Carmelo Anthony is starting to get to a point in his career where we shouldn’t expect him to be anymore than a guy who can score. He...

Knicks roll past Heat 104-84 in New York opener
Carmelo Anthony heard the news about the New York City Marathon being canceled, then came out to warm up and saw plenty of empty seats at Madison Square Garden.
At that moment, it would've been easy to agree with Dwyane Wade and others, that this wasn't the time to be playing games.
By tip-off, Anthony and the Knicks knew otherwise.
Fans had filled the place, when even...

New York Ready to Embrace the Knicks
Nothing that happened at Madison Square Garden last night will compare to the emotion at Shea Stadium on September 21st, 2001. For all his on-the-court heroics, Carmelo (or is it Melo now?) Anthony wasn’t Mike Piazza. Eric Spoelstra wasn’t Bobby Cox; Mike Woodson wasn’t Bobby Valentine and Lebron James wasn’t Chipper Jones. Or, maybe he kind of was. In any event, it would...

Not right now, though.
