Posted in TextFor many years, it was height and overall length that the Knicks lacked.  Think Clarence Weatherspoon.  Think Malik Rose.  Think Kurt Thomas.  Maurice Taylor.  Michael Sweetney.  I think you get the point. The Knicks generally were strong upfront, but they were generally neither very tall nor very long. Now, the opposite is true.  The Knicks are long.  Think Amare.  Think Gallo.  Think Chandler.  Think Randolph. Think Mozgov.  Now, the Knicks lack brute force up front.  Aside from Ronny Turiaf, the Knicks do not have a true banger – a front court player that can muscle up against opposing bigs. Today, the Pistons were even thinner up front than the Knicks, so the problem was not as visible. Yesterday however, with Turiaf out, the Knicks were hurt inside by TKB favorite Al Horford.  Worried about foul trouble, Amare could not play as physical with Horford as the Knicks probably needed.  Frankly, that is not really his job.  Frankly, that is not really his game.  D...
