Jeremy Lin made his first career start at point guard for the New York Knicks on Monday night. The Knicks were without Amare Stoudemire and Carmelo Anothony left the game in the first quarter with a groin injury. Lin lead the Knicks to a 99-88 victory over the Utah Jazz with 28 points and eight assists. Lin who is the first American-born NBA player of Chinese or Taiwanese descent was serenaded by the Madison Square Garden crowd with chants of "MVP" when at the free throw line and in his on-court post game interview with MSG Networks Tina Cervasio.
