New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith has been fined $5,000 by the NBA for a flop during Game 1 of their playoff series against Indiana. Smith was defending Pacers guard Lance Stephenson when he ran into a pick set by David West. Smith fell to the court and threw his arms up, exaggerating the contact and fooling the referee into believing it was much more severe than it really was. The NBA instituted a system of penalties for flopping this season. The Sixth Man of the Year on Friday became the third player to be fined during the postseason, following Indiana's Jeff Pendergraph and Oklahoma City's Derek Fisher. A video of the play is posted on nba.com/official.

JR Smith has a 102 Degree Fever, Questionable For Game 3 Against Pacers

Playing basketball and then clubbing all night, can lead to flu-like symptoms.  You have to give your body a chance to rest. Hopefully, JR is feeling better by game time. Definitely don’t want another Luol Deng situation, so he shouldn’t try to play if he is truly that sick. Better to take the night off and get better, than ended up in the hospital. Woodson said JR Smith had...

Knicks Offense Crumbles as Pacers Take Game 3

By Kenneth Teape Final Score: Knicks: 71  Pacers: 82 The three day layoff between Game 2 and 3 did not play out as the Knicks had hoped as they struggled to do much of anything in Game 3 against a stingy Pacers team to fall down two games to one in the series.  Even the return of Amar’e Stoudemire was not enough for the Knicks tonight, who just could not get it going on the offensive...
