Knicks 100 Nets 86
The New York Knicks tonight came out and took care of business. They did what they needed to do in the second half of the game and pulled away to get their 19th win of the season. Melo returned from injury and picked up where he left off with 31 Pts. Knicks win 100-86.
Carmelo never missed a beat as he stuck a few jumpers to get the Knicks back into an offensive rhythm. The rust and tired legs seemed to be a thing of the past as NY and Brooklyn traded punches and were on the way to multiple lead changes.
New York got their defensive MOJO back and it showed the first few minutes with hustle and aggressiveness. JR and Jason contributed to the offense as the Knicks are looking for a player or two to add more offensively on top of Melo’s points. The Knicks and the Nets go into the half with the Knicks leading 52-48. Through three games so far these two teams were evenly matched games.
In the 3rd, Tyson Chandler broke the Nets defense wide ...

Because Stoudemire will be able to get much more work in with the team's D-League squad than he would with his teammates, the Knicks elected to go that route.
Amare Stoudemire has not played for the New York Knicks this season. Depending on your outlook, it's either a good thing that he is coming back and can help the team continue their success, or it's a bad thing because he could derail their chemistry. No matter, what side you land on, Stoudemire is a proven player in the NBA, he's an All-Star, and he is getting close...
Charles Barkley is never one to be short of an opinion.
The New York Knicks are never short of opinions on their performance.
It was only natural that Chuck would proffer a critique of the Knicks and their surprisingly potent NBA season to date. Newsday quotes Barkley as such:
Everybody in New York thinks the Knicks are Playboy bunnies, and I have been telling...
The New York Knicks are 18-6 this year, sitting on top of the Eastern Conference. They finally look like the team they should have been for the last few years, and they have done it without Amar’e Stoudemire seeing the floor.
Now that Stoudemire is returning from his knee injury, there are questions as to whether he would help or hurt the team by joining the starting lineup...
Who had the New York Knicks on top of the Eastern Conference at 19-6 after 25 games? No one?
It is a pretty big shock.
This is a team that has failed to meet the potential of their talent for years, and now, all of a sudden, they look like they could compete for an NBA title. Have they finally discovered what it is going to take to win?
Carmelo Anthony is the league’s second...

The Knicks have reassigned Chris Copeland and James White to the Erie BayHawks.
After a disheartening defeat to Jeremy Lin, Toney Douglas, and the new-look Houston Rockets, the Knicks will look to avenge their first home court loss, against the Nets on Wednesday. The two teams have already begun to have a heated inner-city rivalry, so far splitting the season series at one a piece. While Brooklyn shocked New York with a commanding loss earlier in the year, Jason...
Will Amare accept a lesser role?
The New York Knicks must have been practicing the alley-oop on their days off lately. I say this because center Tyson Chandler performed three of these against the Brooklyn Nets tonight. They were all pretty impressive, my favorite was the second one with about a minute and half to go in the third quarter. On that dunk Raymond Felton drove the lane and as the defenders closed...

Jeremy Lin’s return to the Madison Square Garden was a memorable one exploding the New York Knicks on Monday night 109-96.
Lin’s impact throughout the game reminisced his glory days with the Knicks. His motives to create shots for himself and his teammates was relevant over the course of the victory. The former Harvard guard posted...
According to Ian Begley of ESPN NY, Amar’e Stoudemire refuted recent rumors that he was targeting the Knicks Christmas day game against the Lakers as a return date. The Knicks forward, who practiced with the Erie BayHawks Tuesday, said he may not be back by Christmas and did not offer any specifics on a return date.
With Carmelo Anthony out, Chris Copeland had 29 points and five rebounds in 28 minutes.
