The #Knicks‘ top free agent priority remains veteran PG Beno Udrih. I don’t think they will sign anyone else until they hear from Beno. — Ian Begley (@IanBegley) August 6, 2013   The #Knicks will workout Bobby Brown in NY, along w/2 others. Team wants another 1st-hand look at him. They have until 8/15 to sign him. — Ian Begley (@IanBegley) August 6, 2013   Source: No update on free agent Ivan Johnson. Still in talks and waiting for the right offer. — Jared Zwerling (@JaredZwerling) August 6, 2013   Knickswag Notes: If the Knicks can somehow wait on Beno, this could be a steal. However bringing in Brown for one more look might make the Knicks think twice on him in a positive way, and they just might sign him that day. He could give the Knicks a spark at the 3rd string PG spot. Ivan Johnson is understandably waiting for a bigger offer, but Ivan in NY could be a benefit for him directly. The reason being is that Ivan could be the missing piece upfront for NY, resulting  in a bigger contract for Ivan next season. This will hurt NY, but apparently New York is playing for this year and this year only. This is something I disagree with but have to live with since I am not running things at the Mecca. Stay tuned!
