The knicks and heat have a new rivalry, the heat have proven to be cool under pressure in last 5 min of the games in the 4th against the knicks. The knicks have a full roster outside of Lin, who had his worst game as a knick against the heat.
The knicks can't run with the heat, we must slow the game down to a grinding halt iso ball reguarly to get heat key players in foul trouble. Mike miller cannot be left open just like JR SMITH AND NOVAK THE SAME.
Previously I made the statement that guys like Novak hasn't showed up against good defensive team in playoff like atmosphere.
Amare is back , so he along with Melo and JR have proven they aren't afraid to shoot at crunch time. So if Miami doubles and hinders these guy flow, somebody else is going to have to step up no excuses.
Shumpert, Novack and Baron are going to have the bulleye on their back in how much they impact the game..... low turnovers and knocking down shots to keep Miami honest on defense.
Def Rebounding...second shots allowed are crucial especially in the 4th, it has a way of sucking the air out of the team on defense.
BEST OF MAXIM
Back in March, high school students at Manhattan's Stuyvesant High School Class asked Knicks guard Jeremy Lin to speak at their 2012 graduation but sadly, he had to decline the offer. However, Lin put together this video featuring a short-formed speech about chasing your dreams and all that graduation mumbo-jumbo:
Though the Knicks did not know the identity of their first-round playoff opponent (be it the Bulls or the Heat) heading into Thursday's game vs. the Bobcats, it was safe to assume an intense matchup lies ahead.Even with the Bobcats hungry to avoid the league's worthy record of all-time, New York still began to segue into full playoff mode, resting Tyson Chandler, Carmelo...
Rookie Iman Shumpert of the New York Knicks was carried off the court after suffering a left knee injury in the third quarter of the Knicks' game against the Miami Heat on Saturday. Shumpert was taken to a Miami hospital and was to undergo tests, and a team spokesman told ESPN.com it "didn't look good." Shumpert was injured while trying to make a behind-the...
New York Knicks interim coach Mike Woodson was spotted having dinner Tuesday night just hours after Glen Grunwald got promoted as the permanent executive VP/GM sources told The New York Post.
Woodson, Grunwald and Thomas were seen dining at Serafina, a popular Westchester County Italian restaurant.
Before anyone gets the idea there was more than a pot of Puttanesca being stirred...
The NBA effects of the NBA Lockout strikes again!! Not only did the injury bug take out Derrick Rose today, but it struck again. This time affecting the New York Knicks and their rookie Iman Shumpert. Midway through the 3rd quarter, Shumpert was dribbling the ball up the court in an effort to get by Mario Chalmers, he planted [...]

After all the ups and downs of the roller coaster regular season for the New York Knicks, they finished with a respectable 36-30 regular season record. Unfortunately it was only good enough for the 7th seed in the Eastern Conference and has set them up with a match-up with the Miami Heat in round one, where they find themselves substantial underdogs. Can the Knicks shock the world...
Don’t call it a comeback.
New York Knicks forward A'mare Stoudemire threw down a powerful one-handed dunk over the top of Charlotte Bobcats forward Tyrus Thomas during the third quarter of Thursday night's game.
The dunk got the Knicks bench players, and even some of the hometown Bobcats fans, out of their seats.
Stoudemire scored 21 points to help the Knicks to a 104-84 win.
There are a lot more fans of Amare Stoudemire and the Knicks than there are of JJ Hickson and the Blazers, so I’m probably going to get killed in the comments section. Oh, wait, I don’t get any comments. Alright, so it’s all good if I roll with JJ instead of Amare? Cool. I love JJ’s dunk because he takes off from an impressive distance, sends it home with both hands...
Baron Davis was the starting point guard on the 06-07 Golden State team that upset the No. 1 seeded Mavericks in the first round of the playoffs.
The Knicks will be taking their talents to South Beach. After a torrid 18-6 finish to the 2011-12 regular season, which was the best 24-game finish in the Eastern Conference, the seventh-seeded Knicks (36-30) will take on the second seed Miami Heat in a star-studded first round playoff series. It is the official return of a memorable rivalry from the late 1990s, one that heavily...
LeBron James started thinking about what a playoff opener against the New York Knicks would mean a few days ago. Amare Stoudemire started talking about taking down the Miami Heat a few months ago.
Here they are.
One of the most hotly contested NBA postseason rivalries of a generation ago is about to be rekindled.
The second-seeded Heat open defense of their Eastern Conference...
