The NBA is finally back, and in Los Angeles, they couldn’t be more excited. With media day in full swing, reporters swarmed around the return of the great Jordan Farmar…alright, wrong returning Laker. Of course it would be the return of shooting guard, Kobe Bryant, that had reporters swarming to the polarizing star. Then, of course, without fail, the Dwight Howard decision came up. Bryant was asked if he was surprised by Dwight’s decision. Bryant’s answer was awesome. Kobe Bryant was asked about his surprise level when Dwight Howard left: “Honestly, man, I don’t really give a s—. It is what it is. ” — Sean Deveney (@SeanDeveney) September 28, 2013 I’m sure this won’t be the last time Bryant or the Lakers get asked about Dwight Howard. I can’t blame Kobe for being irritated and if he’s being asked about Dwight already, I can only imagine how many more times the Dwight Howard questions will come up. It shouldn’t take long as the Lakers’ first game against the Houston Rockets comes November 7th. Buckle up! The post Kobe Bryant gives great response when asked about Dwight Howard appeared first on Pass The Pill - Kings of Hoops.

You think Kobe Bryant is sick of talking about Dwight Howard yet? Speaking at Los Angeles Lakers Media Day Saturday, Bryant was surrounded by reporters and asked questions about Howard’s choice to leave the Lakers for the Houston Rockets. They were the same questions Bryant answered all summer, so no doubt he was tired of […]
Dwight Howard has yet to play a game for the Rockets, but the new Houston center is fitting right in to his new Texas lifestyle after attending a high school football game on Thursday night.

Dwight Howard has steadily worsened as a free throw shooter in his NBA career, shooting just 49 percent last season.
Now with the Houston Rockets, Howard is aiming to have a career season at the foul line. His career high at the free throw line came as a rookie, when he shot 67 percent.
"This season, I want to win a championship," Howard said. "I want to shoot 75...

Kobe Bryant was of course the main attraction at Media Day 2013 for the Los Angeles Lakers, and he fielded a number of different questions while on the air with Time Warner Cable SportsNet. His off-season trips, thoughts on a few of the young players and, of course, where he’s at with his rehab are all covered in the video below, which features Chris McGee and James Worthy.
Dwight Howard left guaranteed money on the table when he left the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this off-season, but he also left a winning franchise; a franchise that has won sixteen NBA championships with five of those rings coming in the 2000s.
Yet Dwight says that he left the purple and gold in order “to win”, to which I have the following reaction:
Here’s the video of Dwight...
The Dwight Howard era is off and running in Houston.
Like everything involving Dwight, it has started as a love fest. Dwight loves the city, the fans, and his new superstar sidekick who has no ego.
At media day in Houston, Howard did his best to explain why he chose the Rockets. Howard said all the right things, but in the end, he simply wants to win.
With James Harden that is...
Lakers head coach Mike D'Antoni took the reigns of the team without a full training camp or the luxury to have time to implement his system. Add the fact the team was beset with injuries to Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant and dealt with the Dwight Howard drama, L.A. did manage to make the postseason but did get swept by the Spurs.
Heading into the new season, D'Antoni will finally...
Omer Asik signed a three year $25 million deal with the Houston Rockets last summer on the premise that he would get the chance to display his skills as the teams starting center.
So you’ll have to excuse the change in Asik’s disposition when talk of him and Dwight Howard playing together come up. Asik has reportedly asked for a trade only to have the Rockets assure him that...

In a career where he has shared a locker room (and mostly feuded) with future Hall of Famers such as Shaquille O’ Neal, Dwight Howard, Steve Nash, and Gary Payton along with current Hall of Famer Karl Malone, Kobe hasn’t made a lot of friends. It is apparent that Kobe hasn’t liked sharing a spotlight throughout his career, so it shouldn’t...
