Beyond The Buzzer:
The Mamba has caved. After resisting for years and sticking with Facebook, Kobe Bryant has finally joined Twitter. He was the only current NBA Superstar who wasn’t a member of the immensely popular social media site.

Tweet The majority of 34-year-old men are sitting on their couches feeling the effects of middle-age creeping up on them. Not Kobe Bean Bryant, though. In the first quarter of the Lakers game against the Clippers, Kobe intercepted a pass and took off on a fast-break. That’s when he delivered a vicious dunk. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzGolkfK2Ak&feature=youtu.be Chris [...]
"We're just slow."
Kobe Bryant's assessment of his Los Angeles Lakers after their loss Tuesday night against the visiting Philadelphia 76ers was harsh.
The Lakers lost, 103-99, at Staples Center to a Sixers team led by 22-year-old point guard Jrue Holiday.
"We didn't look past them. I mean, you just saw an old damn team," said Bryant, who led the...
“They’re very spectacular. They’re fun to watch. There’s no question about it,” Bryant said Thursday before going a step further. “They have higher jumpers than Showtime, though.”
…Bryant deemed the Clippers championship-worthy.
“Oh, for sure. They’re definitely one of the top contenders,” he said, crediting Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.
“[Paul] is extremely...
Kobe Bryant may have said the Los Angeles Lakers were “old as s—,” but his 34-year-old body isn’t preventing him from making athletic plays. The Black Mamba stole a pass from Chris Paul and then dunked on the Clippers point guard to make a statement early in Friday’s game at Staples Center.
We see dominant plays like that on a fairly regular basis, but when you consider...
Tweet It took a while, but Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant has finally caved in and joined the social network Twitter: The antisocial has become social #mambatweets — Kobe Bryant (@kobebryant) January 4, 2013 Bryant, who already interacts with his fans via his Facebook page, took over the Nike Basketball Twitter account Christmas evening [...]
2013 didn’t start out on a good note for the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers are back under .500 despite Kobe having an amazing season in year 17. He’s currently leading the NBA in scoring (30.3 points per game) and shooting a career-best .479 from the field. And occasionally, he can still get up! Check out [...]
As I noted in my summary of Kobe Bryant’s incredible duel with Chris Paul, the following dunk was just one of Mamba’s many statement plays from Friday night. Personally, I think I most enjoyed the Iverson-esque crossover he used to shake free from Matt Barnes and drain a clutch 20-footer… but the dunk is definitely a close second thanks in large part to the shock factor involved...
Attention all passengers in Los Angeles...flight number 24 on Kobe Bryant airlines is getting ready to take off on the Chris Paul runway...Please put your tray tables in the stowed position....
Considering that only one team led from start to finish, Friday’s battle for Los Angeles was unsually captivating. Though the “visiting” Lakers were badly outplayed — they trailed by 19 in the fourth quarter and by double digits for approximately half the game — Kobe Bryant, who dropped 16 of his game-high 38 during a cold-blooded fourth-quarter rampage, should’ve had...

Kobe Byrant showed Chris Paul that age is just a number with an electrifying fast break dunk
LOS ANGELES -- In the span of one season, the Los Angeles Clippers have transformed from a two-man army, The Blake and Chris Show, into a deep squad, with one of the best benches in the NBA. Every so often, though, the stars come out at night and light up Staples Center. Against Kobe Bryant and Co., it was bound to happen. Chris Paul had a double-double in the first half and...
