Kobe Bryant is questionable for Thursday night's playoff game in Denver because of a bout of gastroenteritis.
The Lakers said they will have a better idea about the five-time NBA champion's condition about 90 minutes before tip-off of Game 6 in Denver, where LA will look to close out the series.
Gastroenteritis, also referred to as stomach flu, is usually brought on by a virus or bacteria, with symptoms lingering for a day or two.
Bryant, who has played through several injuries in recent years, is averaging 31.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in the series. He was the NBA's second-leading scorer during the regular season at 27.9 points per game.
If the Lakers win Thursday night, they would advance to meet the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference semifinals.
