Larry Brown Sports:
Kobe Bryant has a message for all those who enjoy criticizing Carmelo Anthony: enough is enough. When Jeremy Lin led the New York Knicks on an improbable winning streak last season with Anthony out nursing an injury, the media had a field day bashing Carmelo. Many writers, analysts and fans were quick to accuse him of being the problem. Kobe says he’s the solution. “I think last year was very tough for him because he was criticized a lot for shooting and for playing the way he likes to play,” Bryant told reporters after the Knicks beat the Lakers on Thursday, via the NY Daily News. “Then the whole Linsanity thing and everybody said, ‘Well, they’re better without Melo’ and all this nonsense. You guys are all guilty of it. … And as a result, he got a little gun-shy and a little self-conscious about things.” This season, Carmelo has been the best player on one of the best team in the Eastern Conference. He is averaging 27.9 points per game after dropping 30 on L.A. on Thursday night an...

Straining to work out the kinks in an offense coach Mike D'Antoni compared to dancing with two left shoes, Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers even struggled to put away the Washington Wizards.
A night after joking about wanting to face the Washington Generals, the Harlem Globetrotters' longtime foils, Bryant scored 30 points, and reserve Jodie Meeks added 24, helping...
It may not have been pretty, Jodie Meeks said following the Lakers 102-96 win against Washington, but at least it was a win.
Kobe Bryant shook off the effects of back spasms to score 30 points, while Meeks came off the bench to score a crucial 24 points as the Lakers snapped a four-game losing streak. And its more than fair to say a win is a win especially after four straight losses...
Mike D'Antoni never built the team he wanted in New York. Now he looks at the Knicks and sees what he would like his Lakers to become.
D'Antoni returns to Madison Square Garden on Thursday for the first time since resigning as Knicks coach last March, hoping to see the type of performance his new team hasn't demonstrated nearly enough.
The Knicks were a disappointment...

We’d forgotten what Kobe Bryant’s signature smirk looked like; wondered where Dwight Howard’s happy-go-lucky persona had gone; didn’t know when Metta World-Peace’s random comical remarks would make their re-appearance. All...
When Dwight Howard was traded to the Lakers in August, Kobe Bryant said the center's "clown act" would not be accepted on his new team.
