Folks, it’s official now: the Kobe Bryant account is for real on Twitter! We reported earlier that the @KobeBryant account was brought back up recently. With Bryant tweeting on Nike Basketball’s account this past week, it was only a matter time before he opens up his own Twitter.

Bryant made his first tweet that got many fans excited:

The account is also now verified.

Last year, Bryant made the account under the same name, garnering over 35,000 followers in an hour. He then deleted it right after. At the time of this writing, Bryant is at about 30,000 followers and the count keeps rising every second.

Bryant has also talked about getting an Instagram as well. Black Mamba, we welcome you to social media!
