Kobe Says He’s Staying in L.A. Even if he opts out of his contract this summer, Kobe Bryant says he plans to remain with the NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers, ESPN.com reports. Bryant can terminate the final two years of the seven-year, $136.4 million contract he signed in 2004 and become an unrestricted free agent on July 1. He has won four titles during his 13-year tenure with the Lakers, and he could be poised for a new and longer contract if he opts out this summer. "I'm not going anywhere. I know I ain't going nowhere, so it's just a waste of our breaths just talking about it”, Bryant told reporters. Bryant turns 31 in August, and he averaged 32.4 points, 7.4 assists and 5.6 rebounds during the five-game defeat of the Orlando Magic in the finals. He also averaged 26.8points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.9 assists during the regular season. Bryant wants the Lakers management to bring back forwards Trevor Ariza and Lamar Odom, who played key roles during the title run...
