According to NBA.com, Los Angeles Clippers star Chris Paul will be out of the lineup for up to six weeks with a separated right shoulder. He will not require surgery.
Earlier reports suggested Paul would be out anywhere from 3-5 weeks but the Clippers gave their official prognosis Sunday after Paul completed his MRI.
Paul was injured in the third quarter of the Clippers’ game against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday when he tripped over guard Monta Ellis.
CP3 is averaging an NBA-leading 11.2 assists per game and will be replaced by backup point guard Darren Collison in the Clippers’ starting lineup.
