The Los Angeles Lakers reached agreement on a one-year contract with forward/center Troy Murphy on Saturday.
Murphy saw limited playing time with three teams last season, averaging 3.1 points and 3.2 rebounds with the New Jersey Nets, Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics.
He finished the season with the Celtics after his contract was bought out by Golden State.
In 2009-10, the 6-foot-11 Murphy averaged 14.6 points and 10.2 rebounds for the Indiana Pacers.
The 31-year-old Murphy has career averages of 11.6 points and 8.3 rebounds in 10 seasons with four teams.
