Lakers Coach Sends Message to Nuggets Coach
USA TODAY Sports

If there's one team that isn't happy about the Denver Nuggets winning the NBA Championship, it's the Los Angeles Lakers. Throughout the playoffs, Nuggets coach Mike Malone was taking shots at the Lakers and calling himself "The Lakers' Daddy", now, it looks like the Lakers finally have a response for him.

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham was a guest on the #thisleague UNCUT podcast with Chris Haynes and Marc Stein where Ham gave his reaction to Malone's taunts.

“Oh wow, you’re gonna bring up Money Mike, man," Ham questioned. "The Lakers’ Daddy? That’s what they call him now? The Lakers’ Daddy?"

Ham followed up his statements by giving an ominous message for the Denver Nuggets.

"God bless his soul. This sh*t ain’t over. God bless his soul."

The Denver Nuggets swept the Los Angeles Lakers 4-0 in the Western Conference Finals in a very dominating fashion. The Lakers were the only team to be swept by the Nuggets throughout the entire playoffs, and it looked like LA just didn't have an answer for Jamal Murray.

Now, things might be different this time around with the Nuggets losing some key pieces and the Lakers gaining some key pieces. Still, the most important thing going into the matchup is the health of LeBron James and Anthony Davis for the Lakers, and Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray for the Nuggets.
