The Lakers have been nothing short of utterly disappointing this season, and that means everyone around the NBA is going to take their shots at them.

After all, the Lakers did go out and acquire Steve Nash and the whiny master of missed free throws, Dwight Howard, in the offseason to team them with an aging and increasingly bitter Kobe Bryant. The Lakers were supposed to be world beaters. Instead, well...

Rockets radio play-by-play guy Craig Ackerman summed up the Lakers’ recent play in blunt fashion after the Lakers lost (again) on Tuesday night, this time in Houston. Howard missed a bunch of free throws down the stretch, and the now 8-10 Lakers blew a 10-point lead to the Rockets. Ackerman saw his chance to pile on – referencing Kobe’s recent public plea for teammate Pau Gasol to “put your big-boy pants on” -- and oh, did he pile on.
