Fox Sports West:
LOS ANGELES Bill Parcells, the Super Bowl-winning football coach, thoroughbred horse owner and noted philosopher once uttered, You are what your record says you are.
Are you listening, Lakers?
Mike DAntoni needs to post a sign with that sentence in the teams locker room, home and road.
You are what your record says you are.
After a 112-105 loss to the Denver Nuggets, the Lakers stand at 15-18, losers of three in a row. If Parcells theory is right, their record says theyre a bad team -- getting worse by the contest.
This is a little perplexing, is the best DAntoni could come up with while evaluating his 13th loss in 23 games as Lakers head coach. When they take 19 more shots at the basket than we do (101-82), its hard to overcome. We (shot a better percentage); turnovers and fast-break points just killed us.
If youre thinking youve heard this line of reasoning from DAntoni, you have. After nearly every loss since he took over as head coach, hes said basically the same thing. ...

Things are not going as planned this season for the Los Angeles Lakers, and fans are none too pleased. The Lakeshow have managed a paltry 15-18 record even with the additions of Dwight Howard and Steve Nash. While we believe that it is easily no one player which is the root of the problem, this plea to have Gasol fired is pretty phenomenal. The icing on the cake is the Sarah McLachlan...

Kobe Bryant was introspective after after the Lakers' 107-102 loss Friday to the Clippers.
Nobody shows more pride in the teams he played for than Magic Johnson. Green and White and Purple and Gold are what he bleeds (and soon to be Dodger Blue, too). The former Los Angeles Lakers great is deeply passionate about the team he led to 5 NBA Titles, and is extremely upset with their terrible play this season. A team full of All-Stars and future Hall-of-Famers cannot seem to...

It could be a combination of all that.
Things will go from bad to worse if his shoulder injury is anything serious. Here is what Dwight had to say.
“I would like to play but I just want to make sure that my shoulder is good to go,”...
