There are many pros and cons when it comes to signing Michael Beasley; it seems that the Los Angeles Lakers feel the bad outweighs the good, though – at least right now. According to a tweet from Ramona Shelburne, the Lakers aren’t currently interested in the services of the troubled free agent forward: For now, Lakers do not have interest in Michael Beasley, I hear.— Ramona Shelburne (@ramonashelburne) September 4, 2013 The Lakers tried to trade for Beasley at the 2012 trade deadline while the former number two pick was a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves, though the trade was nixed at the last minute by the Wolves’ owner. The purple and gold also reportedly tried to sign Beasley last summer, with Norm Nixon – who was mentoring Beasley at the time – saying that L.A. would “love” to sign the forward. While Beasley certainly has untapped potential and would seemingly be a perfect fit for D’Antoni’s system, he obviously still has disciplinary issues and continues to make the same mistakes time and time again. Therefore, even the Lakers and their “worth a shot” attitude this summer may decide to pass on Beasley at this moment in time. .bottom-of-post-responsive { width: 300px; height: 250px; } @media(min-width: 500px) { .bottom-of-post-responsive { width: 300px; height: 250px; } } @media(min-width: 800px) { .bottom-of-post-responsive { width: 336px; height: 280px; } }
