YouTube Along the free throw line, guys will talk.  Guys will jockey for position.  Guys will elbow.  Guys might even pinch (the Bill Laimbeer special).  But Pacers forward Lance Stephenson introduced a new maneuver Tuesday in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Heat. Stephenson lined up next to LeBron James along the lane in the second quarter.  And while words were exchanged, Stephenson needed to get a bigger edge – a bigger, grosser edge.  So he blew in LeBron’s ear.  It’s a weird edge, but a defined one – especially if Stephenson pounded some Funions at the last timeout. The feeling apparently was not mutual as LeBron didn’t blow back. Instead he told referee Joey Crawford. [The Big Lead]

If you watched Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Indiana Pacers and the Miami Heat Tuesday night, you may remember quite the visual following Lance Stephenson’s buzzer-beater from the corner three at the end of the third that had one woman falling to her knees as if she had felt the Holy [...]The post So, That Woman That Fainted After Lance Stephenson’s 3rd...

Possible Flop Of The Year Candidate: Lance Stephenson (Video)

On a day in which LeBron James stated that he advocated flopping, it has been the focus of basketball conversation, but incidentally it wasn’t James that had this gunshot-like flop during Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Miami Heat and the Indiana Pacers, but Lance Stephenson. Stephenson was lightly bumped by Ray [...]The post Possible Flop Of The Year Candidate...

Video: LeBron James swats away George Hill at the rim

LeBron James made a few big plays in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals  but they were not enough to get by the Indiana Pacers. James left the game after fouling out with 56 seconds to go and the game still within reach. The Pacers took Game 4 99-92 after the Heat rallied late to overcome a seven-point fourth quarter deficit. Now that the series is split 2-2, there are more...

LeBron James Among Three Players Fined for Flopping in Game 4 of Eastern Conference Finals

Contrary to popular belief, it turns out LeBron James can be fined for flopping after all. James drew the Heat’s first flopping reprimand of the season on Friday when he and two Pacers players were each fined $5,000 for flopping in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals on Tuesday. David West and Lance Stephenson also received fines for embellishing contact during Indiana’s...

LeBron James Swats George Hill’s Attempt at Fast Break Layup Out of Air (Video)

Now, this is a blocked shot. LeBron James tallied a rejection rarely seen outside of video games Tuesday night, swatting a fast break layup attempt by the Pacers’ George Hill right out of the air as Hill tried to dump the ball into the hoop. James did more than just control the shot — he had volleyball-like spiking action going on. Alas, Hill and the Pacers would get the last...

Game 4 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals between the Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers featured one of the best blocks of the playoffs.  Late in the 3rd quarter, Lebron James got way above the rim to block George Hill‘s layup attempt. Dwyane Wade and LeBron James honor 10-year old cancer victim on their shoes

For those of you who have any ill will towards the Miami Heat or LeBron James/Dwyane Wade, you might want to read this story. Early on Tuesday, 10-year-old Bella Rodriguez-Torres passed away due to cancer and she gained national attention for a book that her father wrote about her and a popular website called “Live Like Bella”. Before the start of game four against the Pacers...

Refs overshadow Indiana's bounceback win

It is never good when the referees deserve mention. Unfortunately, Twitter was all ablaze with some of the questionable calls that affected the final result of Wednesday's Game Four. Yes there was a clearly blown 24-second shot clock violation called that would have given the Pacers an 11-point lead, but instead kicked off an 11-2 Heat run to tie the game in the fourth quarter...

NBA’s Seemingly Contradictory Shot Clock, Eight-Second Violation Rule Really Not That Complicated

If people who honestly should know better are this perplexed by a clock, it’s probably a good idea to take their analysis of other things with a grain of salt. These NBA playoffs have featured a lot of inexplicable things. Who knew Tim Duncan still had this in him? Who thought LeBron James could actually get better? When will Tony Parker ever get his due as one of the greatest...

Heat scary, pummel Pacers for 2-1 series lead

Really, what can you say? This was just one of those games where you have no choice but to shake your head, acknowledge the supremacy of the Miami Heat, and move on. This was the kind of game that reminds you why the Heat are the reigning NBA champs, and why LeBron James is head and shoulders above everyone else in the league. It is the kind of game that reminds us that as the Pacers...
