The lawsuit filed by a fan seeking unidentified damages from the San Antonio Spurs for sending home starters Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker and Danny Green prior to November’s nationally televised game against the Heat has been voluntarily dismissed. According to The Miami Herald: A notice recently filed by attorney Larry McGuinness in Miami-Dade Circuit Court says all claims are being dropped. McGuinness had sued the Spurs on behalf of himself and about 16,000 other fans who paid what he called premium prices to attend the Nov. 29 game in Miami. McGuinness had sought unspecified damages, contending the Spurs violated Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.

Tim Duncan Defies Father Time, Makes Game Winner Over Clippers

Is there anything Tim Duncan can't do? I love his approach to the game, instead of running around like a mad man, Timmy calmly walks to the opposite end of the floor to gather his thoughts because he knows he has to go sink an important free throw to put the icing on the cake.  I know John Schumann wrote a great piece explaining why these aren't the same Spurs we have seen...

Tim Duncan Sinks and-1 Winning Shot Against Clippers (Video)

San Antonio Spurs power forward Tim Duncan’s resurrection this season has gone a bit unnoticed. The past few seasons, Duncan started to look like father time had gotten a hold of him, but this season he’s looked like the player of old, averaging 17.6 points per game, 10 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field and made his 14th All-Star Game appearance. In a game last...

Tim Duncan Hits Game-Winner To Beat Clippers

36-year-old, Tim Duncan, added another spectacular performance to his impressive season Friday, scoring a season-high 34 points, pulling down 11 boards, and hitting the game-winning shot to lead the Spurs to a 104-102 home victory over the Clippers. The win increased San Antonio’s lead over the Thunder for first place in the Western Conference to 2.5 games.

Parker calls Nuggets a test on both sides of the ball

The San Antonio Spurs survived the first of five upcoming contest against the NBA's elite, beating the Denver Nuggets 100-99.  The offense hummed as the Spurs connected on 10/15 three point attempts.  The defense wasn't as stout as it has been most of the season as the Nuggets shot 47 percent from the field while missing all of ten of their three point attempts.  That...

Video: Duncan's game-winning 'and 1' vs. Clippers

The San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers fought it out last night in San Antonio but in the end, the Spurs came out on top 104-102 to even the regular season series at two games a piece. And carrying the Spurs to the win was none other than Tim Duncan who finished with an eye-opening stat line -- 34 points, 11 boards, 10-10 from free throw line, 12-19 from the floor, and...

After a few bumps and bruises, Parker says he'll be fine

They say bad things come in threes and it might be very well the case for San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker. After playing at a high-level to garner NBA MVP attention, in a game in San Antonio versus the Kings, he injured his left ankle suffering a grade 2 sprain.  At first he was to come back in four weeks but came back sooner than later. However, when he did return, he suffered...

TP Injury Update

Tony Parker was injured in the 3rd quarter with a sprained right middle finger, but is expected to finish the game against the Denver Nuggets. Should the Spurs rest him this game and maybe the next? Parker is already coming off an ankle injury and the Spurs can't afford to lose him for this run against playoff contenders. It may be wise to sit him and see how the team plays...

Matchup of the Game: Spurs vs. Clippers

The matchup of the game for Friday night's matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers will be between backups Manu Ginobili and Jamal Crawford. This will be the fourth and final game between the two teams in the regular season with the Spurs looking to tie up the series at 2-2. Both men's average in this series is almost identical with Ginobili averaging...

Coach Pop answers his mailbag. Discusses Baynes, Ginobili coaching & more

San Antonio Spurs' head coach Gregg Popovich answered questions from the team's fans on Spurs.com and they didn't hold back on asking him what was on their minds. The questions ranged from coaching to his current players on the roster. One of the interesting questions was about Aron Baynes and what he thought about him and what he expects him to bring this season...

State of the Spurs: Tough stretch ahead

One down, four to go. If the San Antonio Spurs are going to give up the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, this is probably the time they will do it. After beating Denver on Wednesday, the Spurs are one game into the most difficult five-game stretch of their season. Beginning Wednesday, San Antonio began a run against the teams with the five best records in the NBA Denver,...

On this week's episode of the Spurscast, Trevor Zickgraf (@yowhatupt) and I are joined by Project Spurs' newest member, Jesse Blanchard (@BlanchardJRB).  We talk about the San Antonio Spurs potentially seeing their Texas rival Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the playoffs. With the way the Mavs have been playing, is that a matchup Spurs fans should hope they avoid...

Spurs see tough games ahead as a 'great opportunity'

The San Antonio Spurs pulled out a win last night against the Denver Nuggets with a late showing of defense on the last play. It was a much needed win with the next few opponents coming up. While some may view the schedule as unfair, the Spurs and head coach Gregg Popovich view it in a different way. In fact, their view of it is pretty positive. "The schedule that...
