By now, we have all gotten caught up in the debate of whose “posterization” was better, LeBron James on Jason Terry or DeAndre Jordan on Brandon Knight. I am still giving the edge to Jordan, but I have no doubt that Terry is having a few nightmares. After a dunk like that, you know reporters and members of the media are going to be asking you all kinds of questions. You can go the diplomatic way, like Jordan, and act like it was just another play: “It was a great pass by Chris (Paul),” Jordan said. “He set me up pretty nice, man, and honestly I didn't see Brandon until I caught the ball, and then it was too late for me to do anything else but dunk it after that.” Or you can take the LeBron route and rub a little salt in the wound: "I've had a chance to [review] it, and it was one of my better ones," James said. "The fact that it happened to J.T. made it that much sweeter. Because we all know J.T. and he talks too much sometimes. And I'm glad it happened to him." James and Terry haven’t been too fond of each other since they met in the NBA Finals back in 2011 when Terry was a member of the Dallas Mavericks. At the time, Terry said the Heat wouldn’t be able to guard him and he’d have a great series. He did, the Mavericks won and I’m sure LeBron has been wanting revenge ever since. One dunk does not erase a missing NBA championship, but it surely helps heal the wound. Terry also went McKayla Maroney on the Heat last week when asked about their then 21- game win streak. He said he “wasn’t impressed with it or anything that they do.” I wonder if he was impressed with LeBron slamming down an alley-oop in his face. LeBron got a technical foul on the play (although in my opinion he did not do much to deserve it), but with the history between these two, I am surprised he did not get down in Terry’s face and ask him if he liked apples (are Good Will Hunting references still cool?).
