This isn’t surprising to me. A lot of NBA player could relate a lot more to Allen Iverson than say Michael Jordan. Most players looked up to Jordan, but their real lives were probably more like Iverson and The King was no different. “I watch Jordan more than anybody, for sure,” James told ESPN’s Chris Broussard for a story in the upcoming issue of ESPN The Magazine. “But I’ll watch tapes of AI too. I don’t take anything from AI. Well, I do — his will. They say he was 6 feet, but AI was like 5-10½. Do we even want to say 160? 170 [pounds]? Do we even want to give him that much weight? And he played like a 6-8 2-guard. He was one of the greatest finishers we’ve ever seen. You could never question his heart. Ever. He gave it his all. AI was like my second-favorite player growing up, after MJ.”

Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy, who played basketball for part of one season at Ole Miss, made the bold claim in a recent interview that he could NBA superstar LeBron James in a game of 1-on-1. When Charlotte Observer reporter Jonathan Jones asked who would win a 1-on-1 game between Hardy and LeBron, Hardy answered: "How should I answer this question? ...I would...

LeBron James Cognizant Of Chance To Shoot 60 Percent From Field

LeBron James shot 56.5 percent from the field last season for the Miami Heat, highlighted by a 21-game stretch in which he shot 63.2 percent from the floor and largely attributed to more focus toward scoring in the paint. James was asked whether shooting 60 percent from the field is attainable for him this season. "I don’t really set out goals as far as what I want to shoot...

LeBron Acknowledges His Killer Instinct Differs From Jordan And Kobe

LeBron James is in a very good place right now and I’m not talking about physically (even though Miami is a pretty damn good place), but I’m referring more to his mental state. That’s what winning back-to-back Finals MVP awards will do for you. James was already regarded as the best player on the planet prior to winning a championship but now he finally realizes it. The one...

LeBron: I’ve Never Had A Basketball Conversation With Michael Jordan

This statement from LeBron James is not surprising at all. As we’ve reported over the last couple of days, LeBron gave a candid and revealing interview to Chris Broussard for an  ESPN The Magazine piece.  LeBron spoke on several topics that included Allen Iverson, his fear of failure, Eastern Conference trash talk, and all things Michael Jordan. James and Jordan don’t have...

LeBron On Pacers/Bulls: “There’s tension, But There’s No Rivalries

LeBron James has a message for all the teams in the Eastern Conference. He hears you talking. After being pushed to a game 7 in the Eastern Conference Finals, and listening all summer to the return of Rose in Chicago, James and the Heat are aware people are gunning for them. James not one to back down from anyone, said there was tension, but no rivalry with the Bulls and Pacers....

Hardcourt Queries: Will LeBron Shoot 60% From The Field This Season?

In case you’ve never heard of basketball, there’s this guy named LeBron James.  He plays basketball, and he’s pretty damn good at what he does.  At this stage in his career, there’s really no point into even looking at his numbers, because he gets more and more solid as the seasons go by, and he has the physical makings of someone who can play until he’s 50. But, we love...

LeBron: I Don’t Know Why MJ & I Aren’t Close

I have my own theory as to why LeBron James and Michael Jordan aren’t that personally close, but I’ll share that with you later. First, here’s what LeBron had to say about whether or not he wished he had more of a relationship with Jordan to Chris Broussard.   “Ahhh, I mean, I don’t know. […]

LeBron James Shows He’s In Regular Season Form With Back-To-Back Dunks

Second-year shooting guard Bradley Beal torched the Miami Heat on Tuesday night with 29 points (in 31 minutes, no less) in a 100-82 victory for the Washington Wizards. But it was LeBron James who stole the show in the second quarter, throwing down back-to-back powerful fast break dunks that prove he’s ready for the season to begin. Lebron James explains the difference between his killer instinct vs. Jordan or Kobe

photo via @Kingjames Early in LeBron James career, one thing he was knocked for was his lack of “killer instinct.” In a recent interview with ESPN the Magazine, LeBron speaks on how his killer instinct differs from Michael Jordan’s and Kobe’s, and how watching the Discovery channel confirmed for him that it’s ok to hunt differently. I’ll just put it this way, man. There...

Nearing the end of the first half of tonight’s Miami Heat/Washington Wizards game, it appeared that LeBron James was going to take the ball to the basket. However, instead of attacking the rack, he found teammate Dwyane Wade on the pretty alley-oop assist that D-Wade threw down with two hands: *** LeBron/Wade image courtesy of Getty Images

Peers don't want LeBron taking mythical last shot, LeBron shrugs

A lot of debate has happened over whether or not LeBron James is a guy you'd want taking clutch shots if the game your life or all of humanity was on the line. Guys like Carmelo Anthony Kobe Bryant Dirk Nowitzki and others are people you're supposed to want to pick to take that shot in today's NBA. Michael Jordan Larry Bird Robert Horry and Reggie Miller are historic...
