The process of letting the ball roll down the court without touching it in order to save time is called Walking the Dog.  I honestly can say I've never heard that term used before.  Apparently LeBron James loves walking the dog though.  He did it Monday for 10+ seconds against the Orlando Magic, which has to be a record if something as dumb as that was actually considered a record.  Check out the video below. The Miami Heat went into overtime against the Magic and came away with the win 112-110.  James led all major categories for the Heat with 36 points, 8 rebounds, and 11 assists.  It's safe to say he can walk the dog whenever he wants as long as he has a stat line like that.
