Fox Sports Florida:
MIAMI (AP) -- Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis have signed their contracts with the NBA champion Miami Heat, and will be introduced in news conferences later Wednesday.
Allen agreed to join the Heat on Friday. Lewis agreed to terms with Miami on Tuesday. Neither deal could be completed until the NBA's offseason moratorium expired Wednesday.
Allen will make just over 3 million this season. He comes to Miami after five seasons with the Boston Celtics, who offered the NBA's all-time 3-point leader nearly twice as much money as the Heat were permitted to spend.
Lewis will earn about 1.35 million from the Heat, plus another 13.7 million after getting a buyout from the New Orleans Hornets earlier this offseason.
BEST OF MAXIM
I completely understand why Ray Allen chose to sign with the Miami Heat.
He gets to go to a team that will contend for a championship every year for the rest of his career, his game is made easier for his aging legs as he’ll likely have many more open, spot-up jumpers with the Heat, and not running through multiple screens to get open. He’s going to Miami, where he can play golf...
It was never about money. The Celtics offered Ray Allen a two-year deal worth $12 million. Miami offered him what they could, which was only $9 million over three years. If Allen wanted to make as much cash as he could before ending his NBA career, he would still be wearing green. Instead, he has decided to sleep with the enemy. The feeling of betrayal Boston fans are coping with...
Throughout this whole ordeal with Ray Allen turning his back on the Boston Celtics and choosing to sign with the team's biggest current rival in Miami, I have been strangely content. I have seen and fully understand the outrage spewing from fans of all ages, but I haven't been feeling that way.
Am I still checked out?
Admittedly, I went pretty much off the grid following...

Hey, I may not think Ray Allen is a traitor, but this is a funny little spoof starring Ray Allen, Rondo and Kevin Garnett.
Irrevocable Differences with Rondo was Ray Allen’s number one reason why he left Ray Allen has taken less money to join the Miami Heat after departing Boston. Many have said that there are many reasons for this, and one of the main reasons was Allen’s deteriorating relationship with the Celtics’ starting point guard Rajon Rondo. [...]
For the Heat, the sole priority of free agency was achieved with such swiftness that Miami stood as the lone stop on Ray Allen's free agency tour. While Allen, who had grown disgruntled in Boston in the wake of repeated attempts by the Celtics to trade him, had sparked free agency interest from the Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves, all it took...
For the Heat, the sole priority of free agency was achieved with such swiftness, that Miami stood as the lone stop on Ray Allen's free-agency tour. While Allen, who had grown disgruntled in Boston in the wake of repeated attempts by the Celtics to trade him, had sparked free-agency interest from the Clippers, Grizzlies and Timberwolves, all it took was a single face-to-face...
Every once in a while, Twitter reveals some interesting things. Usually, the social media network only reveals what Chad Johnson had for lunch, how many tummy crunches Brooke Burke Charvet did this morning or that Ashton Kutcher is still a dope. Occasionally -- such as when Mike Wallace's death prompted dismay from Pittsburgh Steelers fans mistaking the television journalist...
Last week, Careless Whispers was a disaster as That Other Guy’s lack of ability to run a simple switchboard resulted in him hanging up on all the callers. Or did it? We have our first “upset” of this year’s Madness. Former Celtic (have to get used to saying that) Ray Allen’s AJ XIII away p.e.’s were crushed by Rondo’s Huaraches. Now obviously I know much of Rondo’s votes may have come after Ray decided to jet for Miami, but the fans have spoken. Rondo’s Nike Huarache bball 2012 received 63% of your votes to move on to the next...
