Everyone applauded the Los Angeles Lakers after they brought in Steve Nash, claiming that it was just another one of Mitch Kupchak’s brilliant moves, but maybe it is another future Hall of Fame point guard they should have brought in, Jason Kidd. His play on the court may no longer rival that of Nash, not by a long-shot, but what he has done with the Knicks’ locker room and from a leadership standpoint cannot be overstated. In his first year as a Knick, Kidd has done amazing things and could have helped the Lakers far more than Steve Nash has done. In Nash’s defense, the whole idea of him being another star in Los Angeles was never clearly thought through, as everyone should have known that this is a team where Kobe Bryant controls the ball and team. Not since his days in Dallas, has Nash not had the ball in his hands at all times, running the offense, but for the Lakers, he has been relegated to being a three point shooter and backup facilitator.
