Jordan Hill (right) and Spencer Hawes (left) battle for a rebound. (Lakers.com) With a 111-104 home loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, the Los Angeles Lakers dropped to 13-18 on the season and are stuck in a five-game losing streak. The win gives the 76ers only their second on the road this season. Aside from injuries, cold shooting, poor defense, and injuries, particularly at the point guard position, have cost the Lakers several games thus far. In their five-game losing streak, the Lakers are averaging 17.2 turnovers a game.  After beginning the game on a 12-2 run, the Lakers got sloppy and turned the ball over 22 times, which the 76ers turned into 27 points. The 76ers also managed to score 52 points in the paint. As a team that heavily relies on its perimeter shooting, the Lakers are averaging 27.2 3-point attempts in their last five games.  They are making an average of 8.6 of them, which is good for a 31.6% clip. A catalyst in attacking the basket, Xavier Henry, who has been filling in the for injured Laker point guards, left the game in the first quarter with a strained right knee.  He is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday. Follow isportsweb on Twitter Henry’s injury places him among Steve Blake, Kobe Bryant, Jordan Farmar, Pau Gasol, Chris Kaman, and Steve Nash as Lakers who have missed action due to injury. Without Henry, the Lakers are down to relying on recently-signed point guard Kendall Marshall. Henry’s injury will likely force Mike D’Antoni to use his 17th different lineup of the season. The Lakers will have the opportunity to rectify their issues as they will play three consecutive games against teams who are currently under .500, before traveling to Dallas on Jan. 7.
