Magic guard R.J. Hampton sprains left ankle, questionable vs. Rockets

It was reported Thursday that Orlando Magic second-year guard R.J. Hampton was set to make his long-awaited return to action on Friday against the Houston Rockets. Hampton hasn't played since Jan. 19 - missing 14 straight games - after suffering an MCL sprain and bone bruise in his left knee.

That return to the hardwood is now in question after the 21-year-old went down with a different injury on Friday morning.

The home contest vs. the Rockets will be Orlando's first game out of the All-Star break. The Magic have lost four in a row, six of their last seven and are an NBA-worst 13-47.

In 42 games this season, Hampton has registered 7.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 19.4 minutes per contest.
