Despite all the happy faces in the new happy homes, Tom Ziller of The Fanhouse has crafted an interesting analysis as he decided to bring the newly-contracted Gerald Wallace into the picture, a literal picture. Statistics don't lie. Did the Magic just rip themselves off? The Magic are paying almost DOUBLE the amount that Gerald Wallace's 6-year contract costs; with Gerald Wallace looking to be absolutely more efficient in any way, shape, or form when compared to Rashard Lewis. Orlando could have a headache that only Magic can cure, pun intended. Three scenarios follow from this susprising discovery: 1.) Orlando Magic front-office did not do their homework very well, probably stemming from over-excitement with locking up Rashard Lewis. 2.) Orlando Magic underrated Gerald Wallace, although it is uncertain whether they had interests in him or not or vice versa. 3.) Gerald Wallace underrated himself by signing for only $57 million.
