When the San Antonio Spurs swept the Los Angeles Lakers, it was a result that was expected after Game 1 of the series. When the injuries kept piling up for Los Angeles, their fans were hoping the ending was coming sooner than having it drag out. They weren't blow out losses in the series, but they knew a championship wasn't coming. With Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Steve Blake, Jodie Meeks, and Metta World Peace out for Game 4, this was the chance for the fans to see Dwight Howard's leadership. What the team got instead was an overly emotional Howard with what seemed to be the world on his shoulders. Howard's immaturity this game showed with careless fouls and technical fouls, like one that was given for elbowing Cory Joseph in the head. In fact, the D-League call up in Joseph was more mature during that situation than Dwight and he was the one who was in the receiving end of a dangerous hit. Former Los Angeles Laker great Magic Johnson took notice of Howard's behavior and wasn't shy to voice his opinions on Twitter. Laker Nation: Dwight Howard that was a big No, No. Your teammates and the fans were counting on you. LN: Dwight, I've been swept before but I never let my team down by getting kicked out of the game. LN: Dwight with an already depleted team you couldn't afford to foul out or get kicked out. Having you on the floor … http://say.ly/Haa5HEZ (@MagicJohnson) Magic's criticism of Howard is widely accepted as truth. Howard did have a responsibility to his team while he was out there and failed at it. You know it has to be a horrible season when you see Magic's next tweet. Laker Nation: I'm sooooooooooo happy the season is over. With the talent on this team this could go down as one of t… http://say.ly/wPQ5HF2 You can't blame Magic since he's a die hard fan of his former team. Maybe the season being over is the best thing that could've happened to this team right now to look at what went wrong and how to fix it. But when arguably the best player of the L.A. franchise is this disappointed, the you know you got some things to work on. Unfortunately, Howard has yet to work on what really matter in his game - maturity.
