Found July 11, 2013 on Orlando Magic Daily:
Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports the Magic will not re-sign backup point guard Beno Udrih. Udrih averaged 10.2 points and 6.2 assists per game in 27.3 minutes per game and 27 games after the Magic acquired him in the Tobias Harris-J.J. Redick trade. Udrih had been upset in Milwaukee that his playing time had decreased and that the team had moved him off the ball in some lineups. Udrih was pretty explicit in saying, the Bucks were using him in a way that he had not signed on for when he originally joined the Bucks. The Magic were a fresh start and they played him as such. Udrih even said he hoped to be able to re-sign in Orlando. The Magic are just going in a different direction and it seemed pretty clear they would not be bringing the veteran point guard back. Even with a fair amount of potential cap room, the Magic want to go young with their roster and likely will be looking for a backup point guard among undrafted free agents or young free agents sprinkled...

Magic Looking To Add Depth At Point Guard, Center

The Orlando Magic are looking to add point guard and center depth before the start of training camp. Orlando will not re-sign Beno Udrih, who was acquired last season in a trade deadline deal with the Milwaukee Bucks. One free-agent possibility is A.J. Slaughter, a 6-foot-3 guard who has played well for the Magic in summer-league practices.

Magic see full range of Victor Oladipo during summer play

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Not until the beginning of the second quarter of their final game in the Orlando Pro Summer League did the Orlando Magic put a lineup on the floor that NBA followers might call a typically nondescript group in a setting such as this. After getting a long look at what No. 2 overall pick Victor Oladipo and such prominent players from a year ago as Maurice Harkless...

Magic's Maurice Harkless benefits from summer league

ORLANDO Jerseys with short sleeves. Jason Kidd as a coach. Joe Crawford relaxed and smiling. All qualify as unusual sights this week at the Orlando Pro Summer League. Only slightly less odd than those is that the player with the most regular-season experience as a starter on the roster of the Orlando Magic is also their youngest participant. After making 59 starts last season, it...

Dazzling in ‘The City Beautiful,’ expect Magic guard Victor Oladipo to win the 2014 NBA Rookie of the Year Award

Rebounding from a poor performance on Monday, Orlando Magic guard Victor Oladipo flourished in a summer-league game yesterday. Taken second overall out of Indiana by Orlando last month, the 21-year-old Oladipo scored 22 points on 4-of-7 attempts from the floor. An aerial artist famed for diligence and preparation, the 6-foot-5, 215 pound Oladipo has long been criticized for lacking...

Magic will not re-sign DeQuan Jones

The Magic will not re-sign DeQuan Jones, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports. Jones received his most extensive playing time in the Magic's Summer League finale, scoring 15 points in about 18 minutes. Jones showed his great athleticism and his ability to get into the paint to score in his limited time. Jones and the Magic parted amicably as Jones took to Twitter...

In crunch time, Oladipo and Harkless shine

All eyes were on Victor Oladipo at the end of the game. Maybe that is unfair for a rookie -- even the second overall pick -- in a Summer League game. After his teammates -- particularly Maurice Harkless -- helped bring the Magic back into position to win after defensive lapses and fouls derailed the Magic. It was Oladipo who brought the house down. It was Oladipo whom fans will...

Oladipo drained a game-winning jumper in the face of Michael Carter-Williams, another lottery pick from this year’s draft class, in a Summer League game against the Sixers yesterday. Oladipo hits game winning shot

Victor Oladipo was the second overall pick in this year’s NBA draft to the Orlando Magic. It is no secret that Oladipo is an excellent defender and athletic, but some question the pick because of his lack of offensive skills. Well Oladipo showed off the skills as he hit a step back jumper to give the Magic the win over the 76ers in a NBA Summer league game. Here is what Oladipo...
