One of the NBA’s finest dressers is making use of his time off, to further cement his status as a male style icon. Sporting a lavender dress shirt and black tie, and holding a basketball in matching hues, Amar’e Stoudemire graces the cover of the October issue of Gotham magazine.

Amar’e has made a big splash since moving to the Big Apple, with success both on and off-the-court. The move to NY has also helped the Knicks forward with his entrepreneurial efforts, especially where fashion is concerned. He recently released a women’s clothing range in collaboration with designer Rachel Roy. And despite competition from a wide range of fashion-forward male athletes, he continues to dominate the field with countless appearances in fashion magazines.

Dubbed “Manhattan’s Man of Style,” Gotham features Amar’e in a playful fashion spread. Wearing a mix of his own items and high-end designer apparel, he proved yet again that he has the style and swagger to pull off just about anything. To accompany the spread, Amar’e spoke to Gotham about his education, money, a recent trip to China with Nike and his sense of style. You can view the full article here.

Carmelo Anthony promises to be great defensively
