I guess Mike D'Antoni didn't win many over in his time as head coach of the New York Knicks. That's why coaches get fired, add in the fact that he wasn't winning enough made him more cannon fodder for the critics. But I bet D'Antoni didn't count on Stephon Marbury jumping on the rip D'Antoni bandwagon. Remember Marbury played for D'Antoni while...

As the Knicks scrambled to pick up the pieces in the wake of coach Mike D'Antoni's sudden resignation earlier this week, interim coach Mike Woodson made a vow to New York fans that things were going to be different going forward.
And thus far, he's been right -- but only to an extent.
Things were different Friday during New York's 115-100 throttling of the Indiana...

Mike D’Antoni resigned as head coach of the Knicks Wednesday, answering the season-long request of some fans who had been chanting for him to be fired. Though it’s being reported that D’Antoni shocked the Knicks with his resignation, it’s not a surprise that he’s no longer the team’s coach.
The Knicks had lost six in a row and 8 of their last 10. D’Antoni was absolutely...

Mike D'Antoni waited nearly four years before he could re-create the high-octane success he had in Phoenix, and for three exhilarating weeks in February, the New York Knicks were the NBA's team to watch.
They played fast and fun, sharing the ball and sharing laughs, and their coach enjoyed the ride as much as anyone.
Just as quickly, it was gone again. And now, so too is...

Mike D'Antoni asked James Dolan if he would be open to trading Carmelo Anthony before the trade deadline.
Marbury - 6 games, 22 ppg, 37.5 percent shooting, 4 rpg, 5.7 apg, no blocks and never had one in his postseason career.
Wow... seems like a coward to me. Career highs of most great point guards when it matters destroy what he could do.
Nash career highs - 24 ppg, 52 percent from the floor, 13.3 apg, 5.2 rpg, 48.7 shooting from 3, 5 blocks in one postseason.
Payton - 25.8 ppg, 48.5 fg percent, 8.7 apg, 8.6 rpg, 41% from 3, 7 blocks.
Billups - 22 ppg, 45.7 fg percent, 6.8 apg, 5 rpg, 46.8% from 3, 5 blocks.
Stockton - 27.3 ppg, 62 percent shooting, 15 apg, 4.7 rpg, 75 percent from 3, 8 blocks.
Paul - 24.1 ppg, 54.5 percent shooting, 11.5 apg, 6.7 rpg, 47.4 percent from 3, 2 blocks.
Is he a guy who has any right talking sh!t? He's garbage with a career postseason that is among the worst ever. Any point guard who shoots 35 percent from the floor, 27 from 3, averaged 12.6 ppg, 2.6 rpg and 4.6 apg while never having ONE block and never getting out of the first round as a player who was in the 8 man rotation... should go away.
Marbury was always overrated, and out of all the scoring point guards, was the worst. Iverson, Francis, and Baron Davis were all better.
