Mark Cuban continues to spar his way through the Billionaires' Fight Club and —after mixing it up with Donald Trump for a few Twitter rounds — is now taking on the powers that be at Facebook. Last week the Dallas Mavericks owner said the social network had "blown up" and made it hard for businesses by limiting their access to users' news feeds.  Now Cuban has called Facebook a "time suck" and is for people too anxious to "talk to the person next to you." Cuban, who is urging marketers to take their business elsewhere after the social network started charging him to send messages to all the team's fans, took to his own personal blog, blog maverick, and wrote a roughly 1,700-word post arguing that Facebook is making it harder for marketers to reach their fans without paying for what they call "promoted posts." To reach all the fans who like the Mavericks, Cuban claims he has to pay $3,000 for every million reached. The tech billionaire criticized the social network as being a "time waster" and thus, should not bother filtering posts from from business owners like Cuban. "In the past we put FB first, Twitter second," Cuban wrote on his blog.  "FB has been moved to the bottom of a longer list." "FB doesn't seem to want to accept that its best purpose in life is a huge time suck platform that we use to keep up with friends, interests and stuff," he added.  "I think that they are over-thinking what their network is all about." At the center of Cuban's wrath is whether Facebook should filter each person's pages or show them every post from every person and every brand they have followed. Cuban's beef is with the fact that brands can pay for promoted posts to reach all their fans and said Facebook knows better than the users what they want to see. "Isn't that why they liked or subscribed to a page," wrote Cuban.  "Do you fan a page with the expectation you might miss the one thing that you wanted to see?" The Facebook news feed has been algorithmically favoring selected content since its launch in 2006 and — as any one of the billion people users knows — programmers are constantly tweaking the feed.  In September, Facebook began filtering pages more aggressively after there were complaints about spam. "Being a time suck that people enjoy is a good thing," said Cuban.  "[But] who really appreciates that some posts rise to the top of their newsfeed because some folks they used to work with and are still friends with shared a baby picture." Now if that baby picture was of Dirk Nowitzki.

After living a previous life as a television sports anchor, I can understand getting flustered during a newscast.Check out WFAA's Ron Corning doing a story on the Dallas Mavericks displaying the Larry O'Brien trophy at the local Sam's Club.Watch as Corning comments on the size of Maverick cheerleader's bust size:

Mavericks Injury News: Dirk Nowitzki Eyeing Mid-December Return

Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki told reporters, including Eddie Sefko of The Dallas Morning News, that he will be sidelined for at least another three weeks as he continues to recover from knee surgery.“Well, unfortunately not as soon as we all hoped, I think,” Nowitzki said when asked when he might return to the court. “I think originally when the last statement we...

Nowitzki still unsure when he will return

DALLAS (AP) -- Dirk Nowitzki says he is still about two weeks away from getting back on the court to start running and shooting. He's not sure how long after that it will be before he makes his season debut for the Dallas Mavericks. The perennial All-Star forward is recovering from knee surgery. He says the goal is for the swelling to be gone 100 percent and his strength to...

The Dallas Mavericks cheerleader outfits are getting skimpier (Pictures)

Personally, I don't exactly know who approved the Dallas Mavericks cheerleader outfits but I'm going assume that some intrepid individual wanted to make them a little skimpier. Here are a couple photos from a recent game against the Portland Trail Blazers and well, the cloth to skin ratio is pretty small:(Images courtesy of the Associated Press/Ball Don't Lie)

Nowitzki Expects To Return In Mid-December

Dirk Nowitzki underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Oct. 19.

Oft-Injured Free Agent, Derek Fisher, of No Interest to Mavericks

When you play in the NBA as long as Derek Fisher has, you're bound to go through some injuries.  Those injuries, combined with age, make it tough to land another job as a free agent.  That's what Fisher is dealing with now.  He had been talking to the Dallas Mavericks, but it appears they are not interested right now.Despite the obvious need for point guard help, the...

Nets.com now redirects to the official website of the Knicks

At what point will the Brooklyn Nets finally give in and make an offer to purchase the website Nets.com? Every team in the NBA has a website that you can get to by punching in the team’s name, except the Nets. On Sunday night, a trip over to Nets.com conveniently redirected users to the New York Knicks All-Star voting ballot. Now, it simply takes you to the official website of...

Warriors-Mavericks Preview

Many of the Dallas Mavericks' best performances this season have come on their home court, which may not bode well for the visiting Golden State Warriors. Dallas seeks its 11th victory in the last 12 home matchups with Golden State as the teams meet Monday night. The Mavericks (6-5) ended a four-game road losing streak with a 103-95 win over Cleveland on Saturday, getting 19...

Knicks-Mavericks Preview

Jason Kidd played a key role in the Mavericks winning the franchise's only NBA title two seasons ago, but he's not likely to get a warm reception upon his return to Dallas - particularly from owner Mark Cuban. Kidd will try to help the New York Knicks continue their best start in 40 years Wednesday night when he visits his former team for the first time since leaving via...

Will Cuban and Kidd ever get back together?

DALLAS Michael Finley once told me that loyalty is not about how you're treated by a team while you're playing. It's about how you're treated when you're done playing. Judging by the frost coming from Mark Cuban, don't expect the Jason Kidd and Dallas Mavericks to make up anytime soon. The emotions are still too raw at the upper end of the Mavericks organization...

The Starting Lineup: Mayo’s Remarkable Finish Not Enough

Chalk up another L for the Dallas Mavericks (their fifth in seven games), but color me impressed by OJ Mayo. In overtime, Golden State pounced on Dallas and scored the first seven points. The Mavs were able to recover, though, as Mayo composed an individual 7-0 run to tie the game. He got started by answering a Harrison Barnes three, then brought his boys to within a bucket...

Warriors outlast Mavericks in overtime

DALLAS (AP) -- Stephen Curry scored 20 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter and overtime, and his assist on David Lee's go-ahead layup with 32.8 seconds left helped the Golden State Warriors beat the Dallas Mavericks 105-101 Monday night. Curry had six points and three assists in the extra period. The fourth-year guard fed Lee on his basket that put Golden State up 101-99...

Warriors 105, Mavericks 99 (OT)

DALLAS -- Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry scored a game-high 31 points with nine assists, outdueling Dallas guard O.J. Mayo and helping the Warriors to a 105-99 overtime victory over the Mavericks on Monday night at the American Airlines Center. The Warriors, coming off Sunday's loss at Oklahoma City, overcame 21 turnovers and awful shooting to take their record to...

No Dirk = More Murphy = Kinda Like Odom?

This is going to feel like the meanest thing we've ever written in 14 years of Mavs coverage: 'Strangely enough, in their time in Dallas, Lamar Odom and Troy Murphy almost mirror each other statistically.' Ouch. That hurt! As the Mavs get ready for the Knicks and for another month without Dirk, you are excused for grimacing in pain as you read this Premium analysis:

Nets.com domain features NY Knicks website

Domain names. If you are a company either doing business on the internet, or looking to strengthen your brand via the internet, they are quite a big deal. That's what makes the domain name of the NBA's Brooklyn Nets -- while not the most popular sports team in the planet, certainly one that is known to the casual sports fan -- so interesting. Like every other NBA team...
