So, this is what “Your car broke down? Sure, I’ll give you a lift” looks like when the people involved are billionaires.
Mavericks owner Mark Cuban lent the team’s private plane to the Chicago Bulls last weekend after the Bulls had some problems with the plane they use to ferry the team around the league. The situation was apparently pretty bad — one radio analyst aboard the plane told ESPN that explosions, backfiring and sparks were all part of the malfunction that led to the Bulls’ plane being turned around and grounded in Chicago — but it turned out nicely when Cuban decided to share.
The Bulls used the Mavericks’ plane to go to San Antonio on Monday night and then fly home Wednesday while the folks in Chicago did some maintenance work.
After the loan, Bulls forward Lou Amundson gave Cuban his thanks via Twitter.
Our plane broke, @mcuban loaned us his, nice guy... lockerz.com/s/286239929— Louis Amundson (@LouAmundson17) March 07, 2013

Mark Cuban lends Bulls the Mavericks plane after mechanical issues
Mark Cuban is one of the most opinionated owners in all of sports. Let’s not sugarcoat it — he’s downright obnoxious at times. However, the Chicago Bulls would tell you that the Dallas Mavericks owner can also be incredibly generous. On Saturday night, the Bulls were flying to Indianapolis for their Sunday game against the Pacers when they had some frightening mechanical issues...
Report: Derrick Rose Skips Practice Saturday
Amid Friday’s report that Derrick Rose is medically cleared to play, but not mentally ready, the Bulls front office insists that they are on the same page with their injured superstar and his continuous rehab. Something is not adding up, as it’s now being reported that a pressured Derrick Rose was a no-show at the Bulls practice Saturday.
According to Peter Vecsey:
Derrick...
Mavericks insert Dirk Nowitzki into 'Duck Dynasty' commercial (Video)
The Dallas Mavericks thought it would be fun to take some footage from the A&E reality show "Duck Dynasty" and inserted Dirk Nowitzki's face all over it. The result was this video, entitled "Dirk Dynasty", which is good for a few laughs.

Derrick Rose Cleared to Play by Doctor But Won’t Return Until He Can Dunk Off Left Foot
DEERFIELD, Ill. — Injured Chicago Bulls superstar Derrick Rose is “not quite” ready to return from his knee injury, coach Tom Thibodeau said Friday.
The former MVP point guard continues to practice without restrictions, but his return from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee remains up in the air.
“We’ll see when he’s ready,” Thibodeau said. “He...
Rick Carlisle to media: ‘Go f*** yourselves’
The playoffs are slowly slipping away for the 27-33 Dallas Mavericks, and as a result head coach Rick Carlisle is starting to show some frustration. Injuries and inconsistent play have forced Carlisle to use 19 different starting lineups in 60 games this season, which is the most in the league and six more than the Mavs used all of last season.
Carlisle met with the media on Friday...
Mavericks waive G Jones, creating roster spot
The Dallas Mavericks have waived guard Dominique Jones, creating an open spot on their roster.
The former first-round pick was in his third season with Dallas, averaging four points and 2.9 assists in 29 games. He started three times.
The 24-year-old Jones played in just five of 30 games before he was let go as Mike James' role expanded behind Darren Collison. James has started...
Derrick Rose cleared to return to action
Derrick Rose has been officially cleared to play by his doctor. That statement alone should have Chicagoans celebrating in the street, as many feel that the Bulls, with a healthy Rose of course, have the best chance of halting the Heat and heading to the NBA Finals out of the East.To their credit, Chicago has done a decent job of holding their own without the 2011 NBA MVP in their...

After plane trouble on a flight to Indiana that forced them to land back in Chicago last Saturday night, the Bulls got some help the rest of the weekend. CC video of the day: 'Dirk Dynasty'
I have personally never heard of the TV show "Duck Dynasty" but apparently it is quite popular and has a huge following. So leave it to the Mavericks to jump on the bandwagon and create a spoof on the title of the TV to create the "Dirk Dynasty."
In the video, you can see Dirk Nowitzki's mug plastered on cast members including owner Mark Cuban's face...

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- Detroit's Greg Monroe is back in the lineup for Friday night's game against the Dallas Mavericks.
