It looks like the Dallas Mavericks have found their new shooting guard. On Monday night, free agent guard O.J. Mayo tweeted that he had signed with the Dallas Mavericks. "I will be signing with dallas! Mavsnation," Mayo tweeted on his personal account, @JuiceMayo32. Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban then seemed to confirm the signing, also via Twitter. "Welcome to the family OJ," Cuban tweeted on @mcuban. "We are fired up!! MFFL (Mavs Fans For Life) MavsMayo Fan For Life!" Brad Townsend of The Dallas Morning News confirmed with a team source it is a two-year deal, with the second season being a player option. Mayo, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2008 draft by Minnesota, spent the past four seasons in Memphis, averaging 15.2 points a game. He started every game his first two seasons with the Grizzlies before primarily coming off the bench the last two years. Mayo fills a need at the two-guard position for the Mavericks after the departure of Jason Terry, who signed with Boston. Mayo joins a Mavericks roster that has been completely overhauled in the past week, joining center Chris Kaman, forward Elton Brand and guards Darren Collison and Dahntay Jones on the revamped roster.
