Dallas Mavericks guard Delonte West fractured and dislocated his ring finger on his right hand during Wednesday's 102-84 victory over the Denver Nuggets.
West suffered the injury during the second quarter, which by all accounts was gruesome. The bone was sticking out of the finger and bent at an angle.
After the contest, coach Rick Carlisle noted that West will be "out for a while."
West is averaging 8.3 points, 3.4 assists and 2.5 rebounds this season.
