So far, the Mavericks have played six games in 14 days. That's not the NBA norm. And it will change in a hurry starting Tuesday night against the Rockets at AAC. Dirk Nowitzki would just as soon have it that way, with games coming fast and furious. Especially because the 4-2 Mavericks have started the season playing pretty solid. "We're sitting pretty good, but looking at the two losses we had, those hurt,'' Nowitzki said. "The home opener was a game we wanted and we just stunk it up. The New Orleans game, basically, we need one free throw in the last minute and we win that one. "So the two losses hurt a little, but we definitely got some good wins. So, 4-2, I'll take that over 2-7 any day. "And we got a nice little stretch here, five (games) in seven nights. The road trip is never easy in this league, no matter who you play.'' --Eddie Sefko
