Pro Sports Daily:
DALLAS -- The Dallas Mavericks' streak of shooting at least 60 percent ended at two games, but they did extend their winning streak to three in a row, dumping the Toronto Raptors 109-104 Wednesday at the American Airlines Center. The Raptors trailed by double digits for most of the game but came back with a late charge, getting to within five points twice in the final minute. Toronto's Alan Anderson missed a 3-point attempt with less than 10 seconds to go, a shot that could have cut the deficit to two points and forced the Mavs to make free throws at the other end to ice the game. The slow-starting Raptors lost for the second time in as many nights and for the fourth time in five games to start the season. "The group we had out there (in the fourth quarter) played with a purpose and momentum," Raptors coach Dwane Casey said. "They really put us in a position to almost win the game after having a slow start. I like what I saw in the second half, but we ha...
BEST OF MAXIM
Are these the skimpiest uniforms a professional team’s cheerleader wear? The Dallas Mavericks showcased their new outfits in their opener. Hey, at least its got something attaching the bottom to the top….We wouldn’t want any wardrobe malfunctions, now would we?Photos via AP/Mavericks Dancers Facebook Page
Dallas forward Elton Brand is not with the team for the Mavericks' game Wednesday night against the Toronto Raptors so he can be with his wife for the birth of his second child.
The short-handed Mavericks were also without forward Shawn Marion, who is expected to miss at least three games after leaving Monday night's game against Portland with a sprained left knee ligament...

Although it may be an issue tucked away deep in the closets of many Raptors fans, ask any fan about Vince Carter and prepare to face the music. Pure venom comes spewing their mouths and only the bad memories remain. Vince Carter leaving for the Nets is on the same playing field as LeBron’s Decision in most parts of Ontario.
PUTS 'F' IN FUNDAMENTALS
The Toronto Raptors agreed to pay former Knicks small forward Landry Fields $20 million over three years during the off-season. Do they wish they could take the deal back? They’d probably answer ‘yes’ at this point. Through four games, Fields is averaging a measly 2.5 points a game in 22 minutes of action. At the same time, Fields is missing easy layups like this one against...
It's Election time and Texas-lovin' Chris Kaman and I are discussing - half-jokingly, I guess – the idea of our state seceding from the Union. ‘I might be disowned for this, or something,’ Kaman tells me, ‘but … ’ We’ll, this is Premium Mavs Stuff, and supremely funny stuff. C’mon inside, my fellow Americans, Texas and Mavs fans:
At some point in the next few weeks, the Dallas Mavericks will welcome Dirk Nowitzki back to the lineup. But against all odds, they're doing just fine without him.
In past seasons the Mavs have looked lost without their superstar. But with a surprising 4-1 start, they appear to be flourishing. And with each passing day, the degree of difficulty seems to rise. Already missing...
Ever since South Korean pop sensation Psy came out with his hit single Gangnam Style people all over the world have been posting videos and making parodies of the song. The latest to make a parody are The Dallas Mavericks, who posted their version “Whoop em’ Mavericks Style” yesterday. The star’s motto for the song is [...]
The Dallas Mavericks suffered a big blow when they lost 11-time All-Star Dirk Nowitzki to knee surgery. O.J. Mayo's play of late has made Nowitzki's absence a little easier to withstand.
Having scored 30 or more points in consecutive games, Mayo will try to keep that streak going Wednesday night against the visiting Toronto Raptors.
The Mavericks (3-1) signed Mayo with...

The Oklahoma City Thunder cruised to a 20-point, election night victory over the Toronto Raptors Tuesday at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. The Thunder finished with a season-high 24 assists with six players scoring in double-digits.
Oklahoma City’s ball movement was one of the main factors in their 20-point victory over [...]

We at Cosby Sweaters are still searching for a good term to replace “posterize,” and for this gem we have chosen to go with baptismal. Kevin Durant took absolutely no mercy on election night when he dunked all over rookie Jonas Valanciunas. The Thunder dominated the Toronto Raptors 108-88 and there is no word if Jonas will return to the NBA following that embarrassment.
His musical icon, David Hasselhoff, should beware.
