PLAYERS: Shawn Marion
TEAMS: Dallas Mavericks
Mavericks forward Shawn Marion will miss at least three games with a sprained left knee ligament. The team said Tuesday the four-time All-Star was a scratch for Wednesday night's home game against Toronto and won't make a two-game trip to New York and Charlotte. The 34-year-old Marion will be re-evaluated next week. He sprained his left medial collateral ligament in the third quarter of the Mavericks' 114-91 win over Portland on Monday night. Marion is averaging 8.0 points and 9.0 rebounds through four games this season. He played at least 75 games in nine of his first 12 seasons and has career averages of 16.4 points and 9.2 rebounds.

Mark Cuban, Donald Trump in Twitter beef

Mark Cuban and Donald Trump are using Twitter to go at it like a couple of little rich kids arguing over whose dad has a sweeter car. The ongoing beef seems to stem from Trump offering to donate $5 million to the charity of Barack Obama’s choice if the President agreed to show the public his college transcripts and US passport records. In response to that, Cuban offered Trump ...

Mavericks just play ball in win over Portland

DALLAS The uniforms could have been switched Monday night at American Airlines Center for more than three quarters and folks might not have noticed. The Blazers do a pretty passable Mavericks' impression, and it's by design. The teams share a common ancestry. First-year Blazers coach Terry Stotts spent the last four years on Rick Carlisle's staff in Dallas. Stotts called...

Mayo leads Mavericks to win over Blazers

DALLAS It's been more than four years since O.J. Mayo has scored 30 points in back-to-back NBA games. But he's now done it in two consecutive outings for his new Dallas Mavericks team, performances that allow the birthday boy in Monday's 114-91 victory over the visiting Trailblazers to stake his claim as the franchise's Robin. With 32 points on his 25th birthday...

Mayo, new Mavs shooting straight waiting for Dirk

O.J. Mayo and the rest of the Dallas Mavericks newcomers are getting into quite a groove while waiting for Dirk Nowitzki, even though they don't always know exactly what they're going to do next. With what Mayo best described as organized street ball, the Mavericks have shot better than 60 percent from the field in consecutive games for the first time in franchise history...

Dallas Mavericks Create” Gangnam Style” Remake (Video)

I’m pretty sure everyone has seen or heard Psy’s “Gangnam Style” video by now, as most NBA arena’s are playing this energetic song. Also, you may have seen Roy Hibbert’s Gangnam Style flash mob, but now the Dallas Mavericks get in on the action. Cuban's bet turns to Twitter war with Trump

DALLAS Mark Cuban and Donald Trump lit up the Twitterverse on Monday, as the billionaires sparred via the miracle of 140-character attacks. The Dallas Mavericks owner entered himself into the hoopla surrounding Trump's 5 million challenge to President Obama. Cuban promised to donate 1 million to charity if The Donald shaved off his signature mane. Here are the tweets fired...

Mark Cuban heckled Brendon Haywood every time he took a shot during Mavs-Bobcats game

This is not the first time we’ve heard of a NBA owner heckling a player from the crowd. And unlike Donald Sterling heckling his own players, this story is rather amusing. During Sunday’s Mavericks-Bobcats game, former Mav Brendon Haywood was busy having a pretty decent game while dealing with hecklers in the crowd. Haywood was feeling so good about his game that he was even going...

Mavs Kaman: 'Texas Should Be Its Own Country'

It's Election time and Texas-lovin' Chris Kaman and I are discussing - half-jokingly, I guess – the idea of our state seceding from the Union. ‘I might be disowned for this, or something,’ Kaman tells me, ‘but … ’ We’ll, this is Premium Mavs Stuff, and supremely funny stuff. C’mon inside, my fellow Americans, Texas and Mavs fans:

Raptors-Mavericks Preview

The Dallas Mavericks suffered a big blow when they lost 11-time All-Star Dirk Nowitzki to knee surgery. O.J. Mayo's play of late has made Nowitzki's absence a little easier to withstand. Having scored 30 or more points in consecutive games, Mayo will try to keep that streak going Wednesday night against the visiting Toronto Raptors. The Mavericks (3-1) signed Mayo with...
