The man formerly known as Ron Artest changed his name to Metta World Peace right before the start of the Lakers 2011 regular season.
Clevver News is reporting that World Peace is preparing to change his name again, as he begins his first season with his hometown New York Knicks.
“We are going to do do a name change, but I can’t tell you what it is,” World Peace told an interviewer with ClevverNews.
World Peace added that he did not want to go through the process of changing his name legally again until he retires. “That’s too much work,” he said.

I guess it’s somewhat normal for extremely tall individuals tend to have incredibly skinny legs, but Knicks center Tyson Chandler’s gams look downright ridiculous to the point that you might think this picture is photoshopped, which, from all accounts, it’s not… It’s all well and good that Chandler’s upper body is looking quite chiseled and firm, but would it kill him...
The New York Knicks have re-signed veteran forward Kenyon Martin.
General manager Glen Grunwald announced the signing Thursday.
The 6-foot-9 Martin averaged 7.2 points and 5.3 rebounds over 23.9 minutes in 18 games (11 starts) with New York last season. In 12 playoff games, he averaged 5.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.42 blocks over 21.1 minutes.
Martin originally signed the first...

The Knicks just signed Kenyon Martin to a deal. To Knick fans it’s a big deal. They saw K-Mart shine on defense in his 18 regular season games last year, as well as the Knicks post season run. To the general public, it’s no biggie. Martin is just “another veteran” who helped a team in their run, similar to Chris Anderson in Miami. However, since he will be...

New York Knicks: Way Too Late Draft Grades
By Mike Elworth: Owner and Publisher/HoopStuff….
Pick 25: Tim Hardaway Jr.- SG- University of Michigan
- Hardaway is an excellent shooter and athlete and scorer and he still has upside to his game and is going to the Knicks, who need depth on the wing, scoring and the perimeter and of course, shooters. They started two point guard often...
Metta World Peace, formerly known as Ron Artest, will change his name again this season.
"We are going to do do a name change, but I can't tell you what it is," World Peace told an interviewer with ClevverNews.
World Peace will not change his name legally, which means 'World Peace' will be on the back of his uniform with the New York Knicks.
Metta World Peace is definitely no stranger to headlines, but it appears we may have to start calling him something else in them again soon.
World Peace, who recently signed a new deal with the Knicks, will apparently have a new name to go along, although he says he won’t change his name legally. Formerly known as Ron Artest, he changed his name to Metta World Peace in September...
“The World’s Most Famous Arena,” Madison Square Garden, home of the New York Knicks and currently under a $968 million renovation, has been given a 10 year notice to move from it’s Seventh Avenue location in NYC so Penn Station can be renewed.

The New York City Council notified the arena that it has 10 years to vacate its 45-year-old premises and...
Nothing like a summer league game, with thousands of dollars on the line.
That’s exactly what’s going to happen according to Larry Brown Sports, who is reporting that Baron Davis and rapper The Game have apparently place a $50,000 bet on a Drew League game their teams will be playing in this Sunday.
Davis’ LAUNFD team will face rapper The Game’s Money Gang squad in a matchup...
Breathe easy Knicks fans. Carmelo Anthony isn't going anywhere. At least for now. However, if you are a Lakers fan or a Heat fan this bit of news may bum you out.
Anthony is set to be a free agent after next season, if he does not exercise his player option for the 2014-15 season, and if Lakers nation had any hopes of him moving back to the Western Conference or if LeBron has...
The Drew League remains one of the top summer league’s in the country when it comes to offseason basketball. A number of NBA players participate in the league, which received heightened publicity during the 2011 NBA lockout. There was a territorial game between the LA-based Drew League and the DC-based Goodman League that year, with [...]
After word spread around the Internet that Metta World Peace might be changing his name again ahead of playing for the Knicks next season, the former St. John's star — where he was known as Ron Artest — took to his Twitter account to squash the idea.
“Don’t believe anyone who said I’m changing my name again,” World Peace tweeted. “I am letting fans give...
