The Miami Heat made a concerted effort to feature LeBron James in the post in Game 3. The Indiana Pacers did not double James, allowing Paul George to try to defend him one-on-one. The Pacers were afraid to give help on James due to the space it would provide for Miami's shooters. The Heat scored 70 points in the first half. "It was something we wanted to get to," Erik Spoelstra said. "To help settle us and get us into a more aggressive attack. We wanted to be a little more aggressive, a little more committed to getting into the paint. LeBron was very committed and focused to not settle." Seven of James' eight field goals in the game came in the paint. "I made a conscious effort to sit in the post, to put more pressure on the defense," James said. "Coach Spoelstra wanted me to do that and my teammates allowed me to do that."

Now that the series is split 2-2, there are more...

LeBron James Swats George Hill’s Attempt at Fast Break Layup Out of Air (Video)

Now, this is a blocked shot. LeBron James tallied a rejection rarely seen outside of video games Tuesday night, swatting a fast break layup attempt by the Pacers’ George Hill right out of the air as Hill tried to dump the ball into the hoop. James did more than just control the shot — he had volleyball-like spiking action going on. Alas, Hill and the Pacers would get the last...

Dwyane Wade and LeBron James honor 10-year old cancer victim on their shoes

For those of you who have any ill will towards the Miami Heat or LeBron James/Dwyane Wade, you might want to read this story. Early on Tuesday, 10-year-old Bella Rodriguez-Torres passed away due to cancer and she gained national attention for a book that her father wrote about her and a popular website called “Live Like Bella”. Before the start of game four against the Pacers...

I Think I Left My Clutch Gene At Home Today

When your team wins you get all the accolades, and when your team loses you get all the blame. Thats how it works in superstar land. Today, Lebron James is shouldering 100% of the blame for Friday night’s loss. It was an enormous loss for James and the Heat as the Indiana Pacers secured home court advantage in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Pacers will travel back home...

Refs overshadow Indiana's bounceback win

It is never good when the referees deserve mention. Unfortunately, Twitter was all ablaze with some of the questionable calls that affected the final result of Wednesday's Game Four. Yes there was a clearly blown 24-second shot clock violation called that would have given the Pacers an 11-point lead, but instead kicked off an 11-2 Heat run to tie the game in the fourth quarter...

NBA’s Seemingly Contradictory Shot Clock, Eight-Second Violation Rule Really Not That Complicated

If people who honestly should know better are this perplexed by a clock, it’s probably a good idea to take their analysis of other things with a grain of salt. These NBA playoffs have featured a lot of inexplicable things. Who knew Tim Duncan still had this in him? Who thought LeBron James could actually get better? When will Tony Parker ever get his due as one of the greatest...

Lance Stephenson Asked To Guard LeBron James For Game 4

Following the Pacers’ 99-92 Game 4 victory, Frank Vogel told the media that Lance Stephenson had asked to guard LeBron James prior to the game. You could say the third year player rose to the occasion, not only pouring in 20 points and 5 rebounds himself, but holding the league’s MVP to 24 points on 8-18 shooting as he fouled out for the first time since June 2012. According...
